The lodge has an endless potential but for today in rooms no AC and .... 1 accessible power outlet/2 others at the 1.5m hight on the wall/, no countertop around the vessel and no outlet for hair dryer etc, only one window with mesh to open for the night when only floor standing fan is working. For a one night rest is okay, but we were there two nights. Breakfast buffet is super simple and kitchen is serving 2 egg variety of the plate. Dinner menu is okay but lil pricy for what you get. Be careful ordering drinks - especially state the size of beer from tap. The grounds are very nice and mature and well kept. No chairs to seat outside the room on the porch. Bring your soap and shampoo. Be careful of the surroundings - gas station and supermarket across the gate - people watching who comes out to shop and you are bombarded with baggers and sellers.
Not the best spot.....Staff inside the lodge and especially front desk lady are very hard working people, but only she was welcoming and smiling all the time.
Good luck iGowati, I am hoping that one day you will be great !!!

We ate a good lunch here, but saw what the hotel had to offer. The rooms look very good, airy and thatch-roofed. Good wooden carvings & fancy decorations. Relatively inexpensive. The pool looks fine. Toilets Ok - (but no soap). Unfortunately some local crooks punctured our tyre and mended it poorly for good money. But this will not happen again as we informed the management.

Room tip: Park your car safely, close to reception.

After our misadventure to NWR Khorixas Rest Camp, we managed to find Igowati as a place to stay. We came expecting little but were pleasantly surprised. Spacious room, lovely bar and pool area with a small waterhole to watch ostrich and gazelle. Good internet, possibly best on trip so far, but only in bar area, which is fine. Food was simple but good. Don't come expecting luxury, but it does what it does well. Comfortable, friendly, pleasant setting. Also total value for money as far as lodges go and less expensive than the awful NWR place round the corner.

Nice enough main buildings, bar and pool. The camping site was situated adjacent to the main road away from the main buildings. Unfortunately for us there was party and a group of boy racers across the road making a racket until 5.00am in the morning. A lodge more for accommodated people rather than camping. A small piece of feedback, employ bar staff that actually want to be there.

They have done the African theme extremely well. Our room12 had a king bed and loft with 2 beds. Thatched roof and cool Lovely ensure. Mosquito nets. Good pool, great bar and restaurant. Lovely African carvings and trinkets. Cheap drinks. All day filter coffee for guests. Internet very poor.
