If you do not like overcrowded beaches then this is the beach for you.
It is very quiet and stunning. Only 20 people the day we were here and 3 cruise ships in port. Beautiful clear water and white powdery sand.
We rented 3 loungers and an umberella for $20 and got free rum punch.
Restaurant called Rascals at the beach, serves great food.
Only 5mins from the cruise port and cost $5 pp.
Will be returning here next year.
Now my favourite beach in barbados.

This beach is very quiet and beautiful. Mostly local people use this beach. There is a small restaurant on the beach but it was closed when we were there due to a holiday. Chairs and umbrella can be rented. The water was calm. Only negative was a lot of trash in the water and on the sand. Locals seem to not use trash cans for their food containers and other debris. This beach is very close to the port. Just a few minutes away. Taxi was about $4pp each direction. No beach vendors which was quite a relief!

We were able to walk from the home we rented while we were in Barbados for a week. We spent a lovely Sunday afternoon lounging around here at the beach. Water is blue, beach clean, and there is a small restaurant located nearby for snacks. Since it was Sunday they were doing a buffet which would have been too large of a lunch for us so we didn't try it but did have a pina colada which was good.
We also had the opportunity to swim very early one morning with the locals (we were invited by our home host). It was magnificent to see the sun rise above the town while swimming!

Wow, the water was calm and a gorgeous blue. Much better than the rough Accra/Rockley beach.

It's clean but by the roadside. There are benches but no loungers.

I was a 15 minute walk from Bridgetown and right beside the Mount Gay Rum factory. So if you're taking a tour at the factory, go to this beach. It's beautiful!!

Well worth the visit.

I had done my research on here... knew this was the beach for us.
Walk OUT of the port terminal and get a local Taxi ( don't get on a mini bus in port... they make you wait for more customers.
Nigel ( taxi driver ) found us and walked us to his taxi ( i kept his card... Tel: CELL (246) 238-1784 ) we agreed the fare $5 each to beach. He dropped us off by the beach bar. And said he would come back...he did :-) We arranged two hours later, that was the ideal time on beach for us.( the bar would have rung us a taxi).

This was such a fantastically quite , sandy beach . The bar had loungers $5 each parasol $5 and beer to buy...
AND only ten minutes from cruise port in Taxi ... A must for those who don't like a tourist packed beach!
