We had a basement/garden room. This family hotel in the foothills of the Pyrenees is of modern chalet style construction and is clean and functional. Good friendly service with just a touch of Fawlty Towers and rather too many dog-eared copies of Hola! magazine in reception. Pleasant, bracing pool. Would be unexceptional but for dining on the terrace, which is terrific. Long views over the fields and mountains as the sun sets, pretty good food with interesting local dishes. Here you are definitely on holiday. Don’t reverse over the edge of the car park...

Hotel Viñas de Larrede is a”Swiss Style” architecture hotel managed by the family who owns it. The rooms and the hotel have a cozy atmosphere that makes the guests feel like home. The spa and the swimming pool are worth trying!. The service of the hotel is outstanding with people at the reception and restaurant always ready to help. Last, but not least is the location. The hotel is strategically located close to very nice excursions (Ainsa, Jaca, Tena Valley or Ordesa Valley are some examples). A hotel that I strongly recommend!!!. We will certainly be back, Joaquín!. Thank your hospitality!!

The property is beautiful even if the architecture is out of place. The rooms are clean and the public spaces cozy and inviting.

The staff at the front desk always seem stressed and too busy, even though the hotel can only accommodate a few people, the workload seems overwhelming for them. Maybe because each of them is trying to wear several hats such as bartender, waiter, front desk, gardener, maintenance - etc.

We tried to have dinner in the restaurant which seats maybe 20-25 people and we waited 27 minutes at a table and the solo waiter who only had 3 tables of 2, never found the time to greet us, bring us menus or water and just kept pretending like we were not there. Finally we left the restaurant and found dinner in town. The next morning the owner - who was also our breakfast waiter - said he was sorry about what had happened last night and said it was too bad we hadn't made reservations. That's ridiculous. That was not the problem, the problem was the waiter, but a hotel that can only house a few people should plan on all of them showing up for dinner especially a hotel located miles away from any town.

The spa - we each had a massage - at different time as they could only accommodate one person at a time (no problem) and the girl was lovely.

The hotel does charge extra if you want to use the sauna or jacuzzi, which is only available from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Not sure why. Both are self serve and require no effort from the busy staff of three.

Other than the dinner glitch, the hotel is sweet, clean and charming. The window views are spectacular and offer a cozy lodge feel.

Room tip: Plan to pay extra for the spa facilities

This place is just wonderful. The staff is super nice, and it feels genuine!
The dinner was very suprising, in a very good way. The rooms are spotless and roomy.
If you ever wonder to these areas, this a true gem !

The location, hotel itself and surrounding area was top notch. We wished we spent another day.

Had our drinks on the terrace in the evening after sightseeings, watched the sunset and it was so enjoyable. It's a new hotel only one year old so everything was very nice. The owners decorated the place tastefully and paid a lot of attention to details to make the place nice, comfortable and homely for guests. The room was fine, the bathroom was large with both shower & bath tub, however, we were rather surprised that no tissues provided for a 4 star hotel.

The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. It's not easy for a small hotel to have such high standard food in a small village. We had tried 3 Paradores before Vinas and the standard food/service was no where near as good. The waiter was very efficient he also recommended a nice Chardonnay for us. We had half board and enjoyed all the dishes except my cod, it was very tasty and nicely cooked except the menu said cod with garlic asparagus but not a single asparagus to be seen. The fish came in a white sauce without any veggies and it looked decidedly boring even though it was very tasty. We enquired and were explained it was a garlic asparagus sauce but it must have had a minute amount of asparagus as I could not taste it. Maybe the English version of the menu got lost in translation. Having said that, it was just a minor point we enjoyed our stay very much and wished we had stayed on a bit longer so we could do some hiking & enjoy Vinas de Larrede more.

We wish Vinas de Larrede all the success.
