Faulty shower, creaky boards, unkept garden and grounds and no socket for tv, no breakfast if you are a few minutes late but still forced to pay for a full breakfast. Unfriendly, creepy owner will ruin your trip. Avoid.

Stayed here last night with friends as we were attending a ball in the Mount Wolseley Hotel. The B&B is beautiful, the beds are really comfortable and the rooms are spacious and cozy. We arrived late for our check in but they were very accommodating, and the man we met on arrival was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us tips on how to get taxis etc. Lighting isn’t great in the rooms if you’re doing your makeup but we managed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious too.

What a warm and friendly place. Couldn't have been made more welcomed and any request was never to much trouble. Clean, tidy and breakfast was excellent. Will defiantly return. We stayed two nights, we were part of a larger party which had small children and again was very helpful.

This guest house did not live up to expectations. The selection of home made breads never appeared. On the second morning we did get brown bread, shop bought, which was fine but if you advertise about your great welcome and breakfast then you need to provide this standard. Poor light in bathroom. I did say this was important as I need to apply makeup for a wedding.

Myself, my husband and four friends recently attending a wedding in Carlow, we had been let down badly by and air B&B so we finally managed to book a B&B a good bit away from the venue. After the wedding we traveled back in 2 cars to leave one car there and then my pregnant friend was going to drive us back. When we arrived there was nobody at the house, but another guest. She let us in and called the owner to say that we had arrived. When the owner arrived back, I explained that my husband had booked three rooms for us for the night and Pam, the owner asked his name, I told her and she said Oh yes that is fine. We duly left our bags in the room and headed back to the wedding, we did not dirty the rooms in any way, merely dropped the bags and took the keys. In the middle of the meal, we got a call from another B&B owner, saying that she had stayed in all day and we had never arrived? Alarm bells started to ring for us, we had went to the wrong B&B. We rang Pam to explain that there had been a mistake on our part and could we come back after the meal, collect our bags and go to the B&B we booked. She refused outright, we had already paid her and she said she was keeping the money. After much too and frowing to agreed that she would keep €50 of what we had gave her and we could move, but here was the catch we had to be there in 30mins, she would not agree that we could finish our meal and then collect our stuff. My husband and heavily pregnant friend missed the meal as a result. It was a disgraceful way to behave. Hands up we had gotten the B&B wrong, but Pam was happy to take us eventhough we had no reservation, she was chancing her arm and they way she behaved was appalling.
