We were driven up to the Berggasthof by a resident for the view and the food. We arrived at lunch time and there were a few locals eating. The view from the place was great as we looked over the mountains toward an old radar installation from the cold war days. This area had a lot of American troops during that period up until 1994 when most were closed down. Some indications of that day remain. The atmosphere was relaxing and food was excellent. We forgot to ask for a senior portion as the meals were large. My wife had Jagerschnitzel, with fries and salad. I had plate of Würstchen with fries and salad. We were both very full and my wife had to leave a portion of her meal. The prices were reasonable which made the meal even more enjoyable.
