Villa is well stocked with more than everything you need & everyone friendly and helpful.
Rural but within walking distance of a local Spar shop. A lovely walk on the doorstep Puntagorda Puerto which is well worth it - we chose a hot day no and there is no real shade so be warned and be prepared.
A car is needed for exploring further afield I would definitely recommend the Caldera de Taburiente National Park and Roque de los Muchachos. We will need to come back to explore more of the hiking trails and see more of the beauty La Palma has to offer.
From the villa you could see Kestrels, lizards, goats, rainbows over the sea (but no rain on us). There is no light pollution so at night the best views of the stars, satellites and meteors and shooting stars all from the villa. Beautiful views of the sea you feel like you are in touching distance of it albeit an hour & half walk away.
The pool is a nice size, but be warned it is not heated so unless your a hardy sole like me in October it was a little chilly - but after a hot walk a well needed respite.
English is not widely spoken but you can manage with a bit of sign language and smiles (& a Spanish book / translation app) but for me this is all part of the charm of such an amazing island.
Fantastic week thank you Juan for letting us stay in your piece of paradise & thank you to all your local folk who always smile, say hola & will help out if needed.
