We had with our young daughter a great 4 nights in our uncomplicated lodge in the countryside of La Gomera. A spectacular mirador is also in walking distance (with a 3 years old if you take the time). The nights are quiet and full of nature sounds. Thanks for the great stay!
We rented one of five small cottages for 5 days in an out of the way hamlet in La Gomera, not far from the Garajonay National Park Information Centre. Despite speaking very little English our hosts were charming and could not have been more helpful. The cottage was quiet, clean and adequately equipped to prepare basic meals. There was a small restaurant on site where we had breakfast every morning and dinner one evening. The cottages are perfectly situated for walkers and the only small negative for me was the stretch of single track tarred road leading to the property with steep drops but it's only the last mile or so and I freely admit I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to heights. One 'treasure' within walking distance is the restaurant Mirador De Abrante. Wish we had known how good it was sooner! With wall to ceiling glass windows the view across Agulo and beyond to Tennerife is breathe taking and we were treated to a demonstration of Silbo whistling by the friendly staff.
