Even if the food wasn't so delicious a visit to The Carribean Kitchen is a must. A setting for a restaurant doesn't come more beautiful or romantic than this. Amazing views over the bay, hummingbirds buzzing around and stunning sunsets.
The fresh fish on the menu is delicious, good vegetarian choices and the cheese cake with passion fruit fantastic.

This was our first stop after settling in to our accommodations at Oceanview Roundhouse (another review). We decided to walk and glad we did! To get up to the restaurant had us walking up a switch-back that I thought would never end. Once we arrived, the view blew my mind. It is simply gorgeous, looking down on the bay as local kids were swimming and playing the surf while we could hear the distant rhythms of Soca music. The staff is incredibly friendly, and knowledgeably about the menu. We decided on the catch of the day (Grouper), one grilled with salt and pepper and the other grilled with a local jerk marinade. There are choices with the jerk (schoolboy-mild, criminal-medium, gangsta-hot), I went with the criminal and it was perfect.
The fish was perfectly grilled and delicious for both of us, served with pan-fried cabbage w/cummin seeds (yum) and grilled sweet potato/onion combo. This was washed down with margaritas and ice cold Stag beer, all while the sun was setting of in the distant west.
Dessert was a local mango/passion fruit sorbet (outstanding) and Tobago chocolate with a shot of seriously aged Trinidad rum. It was so good! So much so we felt compelled to have more rum after dinner!
Our waiter/bartender Kyle is so laid back and friendly, the kitchen staff ladies are awesome and the vibe will have us going back for another visit!

Heaven for your mouth! This place was the favorite spot of our Tobago experience. Yacob, our server was so friendly and warm. The food was out of this world in freshness, taste, and presentation. It was the best meal we had in Trinidad and Tobago by far. The location was beautiful and serene. You felt as if you were dining in a treehouse all inclusive of sunshine and ocean breeze. We want to stay here next time for sure and enjoy the whole experience. This place is not to be missed. We left smiling and floating on clouds.

My family and I had a great experience here. SO many vegetarian options and such a gorgeous view. Every single one of us loved our meal. Try the bean burger. It's incredible!
