Vila Joya is my idea of heaven, yesterday my parents took my fiancé and I for a special treat, and special is the only way to describe it. I was my third visit and Paulo has looked after us amazingly each time.
The view is stunning and we were again sat on the front row looking out of the beautiful ocean.
The food is a journey and over the three hours we sat in the stunning setting we enjoyed 11 or 12 different courses, most of them as a surprise as the menu for lunch only has four courses on it.
The cocktails are to die for and the service is top class. I have promised myself that one day we will stay the night!
Can wait till the next special occasion so we can return.

We love this restaurant, it is a special place for several reasons:
- 1st of all, the food is great, everything is really good. We never had a bad try on anything we have eaten there (in the gourmet menu);
- The staff is really kind, high level and always in a good mood. Ah, and they speak several languages.
- The view is amazing, it is a corner of the paradise;
- They have the restaurant very well decorated and they kept it original where they could (ceiling, round shapes of the fireplace and lamps in the walls, floor, etc). Also the ceramics they use to serve the food, are pretty.
- Good cocktails and good wine!

It is a place to go. We see it as a great place to celebrate special days. It is expensive but it worth the money.

My parents treated me and my best friend (plus the extended family who had come out on holiday with us) to a wonderful meal at Vila Joya for our 21st birthday. The food was out of this world and the staff were wonderful, the views weren't too bad either! We come back to a similar location nearly every year and I;m just waiting for a reason to visit Vila Joya again!
