This cottage was absolutely perfect for our family. It is well appointed with everything you would need for your stay. The area is central to many sites to go see. The area is quiet, has great views and everything was as described. We are sad to leave the donkeys. Tip: They love carrots! Unfortunately, we never got to meet our lovely host, but communication was perfect and quick to respond as well as kind enough to allow us late entry upon check in. Many thanks!!
We had a couple of days touring the local area looking for property to buy. It was lovely to return to the cottage each night, light the fire, cook a meal and settle down to watch TV for a couple of hours before bed. Internet access is good, we just used it for email and browsing because the data is limited. Seamus was great, very friendly and helpful. We had a really nice chat. I particularly enjoyed walking down the lane, the sweet smell of turf fires in the still air and the complete and utter silence, broken only by the birdsong. Fantastic. Can't wait to return.
Having spent a few days at Franks Cottage, all I can say is that it has everything, the cottage is a home from home and is fantastic. the location is perfect for touring around county mayo, and after lots of driving and sightseeing it was great to return at the end of the day and sit back with a beer and chill out with the peat burning stove ablaze. This was in my opinion the perfect cottage and I intend to return again in the not so distant future
great for that getaway from it all experience.tranquill, peacful setting if you need a retreat to relax away from it all

Lovely stay at Franks cottage which is super quiet and private with Seamus next door if needed
Comfortable and cosy and good base for exploring the West Coast
Visiting from Australia, booked 7 nights but stayed for10, loved everything about our stay the cottage is in a lovely quite setting and is very well equipped, our grandson loved the animals especially the cat, so easy to drive to other places of interest. If we ever return to Ireland we will be giving James a call, thank you so much laurence Vicky and Armani.
We stayed at Frank's Cottage after finishing a whirlwind tour of Ireland. What a great place to unwind and enjoy the true Ireland. We were in the country amidst peace and quiet. We used the wi-Fi and the DVD on an occasional basis. It was the perfect spot for us to travel around the surrounding counties and up to Donegal to see some friends.
Judy and Seamus were the best hosts. Seamus kept us stocked with turf for the fire. Plus we were happy to greet Chip and Sugar, the donkeys - and Patches and Daisy the cats.
Clean, comfortable and delightful. One cannot pick a better place to enjoy Ireland.
