Our visit was recommendation from a local - quite simply amazing food and service from the lovely couple owners

We had a three month and three year old and one of the owners held our baby and for her to sleep while the husband played music on his keyboard which got our 3 year old dancing . Really lovely chatting to the owners too

There are a lot of overpriced tourist restaurants but this one beat them all hands down. Off the coast a bit but really very much worth the visit . Highly recommended !!!

They. also cooked a vege curry for my vege wife too which was lovely . Very nice evening

Karina and her family run a delightful small typically Mauritian restaurant 5 minutes from the sea and the idyllic Cap Malheureux. The menu focusses on the local fresh fish but other meat dishes are also delicious. The food is freshly cooked with care and has never disappointed us in all of our many visits. The cost is reasonable and Kavina herself is a delightful host. I recommend that you give it a visit.

After a bit of kitesurfing in nearby Anse Le Rai we drove 5 mins to this restaurant.
The starter of crispy octopus was good and then we both had 'catch of the day'. Mine was done creole style which was good. My wife had a green pepper sauce also good. She had a glass of white wine, more like sherry than wine. I had 2 small beers and the bill came to 2065 Rp which I thought was expensive for local food.
Do they have 2 different menus with prices for locals and tourists I wonder?

Thank John S
