We booked Villa Tessa to enable us to experience a villa of this type and Triqui as a village. Neither disappointed. The villa is spacious with excellent facilities that are kept immaculate by Frank (who obviously takes pride in his property) and Sandra and Andy who make sure the villa and pool are kept spotless. If anything, the description of the villa and village undersell the experience that awaits.
The village provides a taste of rural life in Fuerteventura which is tranquil and relaxing. The village is central and not only means a quick transfer from the airport (15 mins) but also provides an excellent base to explore the rest of the island, with most parts of the island easily reached within an hour by car. The capital (Puerto del Rosario) and Caleta de Fuste are within a short drive and provide access to a wide range of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants but in our opinion there is no better end to a day of relaxation than watching the sun go down from the terrace of Villa Tessa.
The village also has a small supermarket and a couple of bar/restaurants that are very reasonably priced. There is also the riding school in the village which is run by Carlos and his family, who provide a range of options for those learning to ride to the more advanced horse rider. An hour long trot led by one of the team in around Triqui is a must.
We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Tessa, it really is a home from home in a great, tranquil setting where you can't avoid relaxing as the days fly by. There is no doubt that we will be back, the only question being for how long as a fortnight seems too short.
Thanks Frank, Sandra and Andy for providing the setting for a great holiday.
