This lonesome biker rode into Die in the late afternoon, with the plan of spending a night there, but not knowing where to go... not many hotels to be seen, and even less which would offer a secure parking for the loyal motorcycle.
The streets led him to the central square, where a few friendly looking cafés were ready to quench his thirst first... it had to be a beer, standing at the bar with the locals. Premium bikes immediately became the topic of choice.
As it turned out, there was the Hotel des Alpes in the heart of the old town, just round the corner, with a large garage for motorcycles located in the basement of a medieval mansion, being kept safely locked at all times. Et voilà!
Room check-in and bike parking went like a breeze, thanks to the lovely owners, husband & wife, who at the same time recommended a few twisty mountain roads for tomorrow's ride. The room was very clean and comfortable.
There were dining options offering value for money within a short walking distance from the hotel. Wifi in the room was good, so was the sleep. Breakfast served at the hotel had all the stuff required for a brilliant start of the day,More
