We have lived here for 15 years and used to go here now and again but found it was very pricey or quite cheap with no inbetween so stopped going, In the meantime it has been refurbished and the menu has been changed. We went there by chance the food was really good, also unusal for Portugal I had chicken and pineapple kebab which was lovely and my husband had duck with a fruits of the forest sauce delicous. We are great fans of the carob tart and there's is the best we have ever tasted. We went as a couple but this is a great family restaurant. Also very surprised by such a low priced bill.............even better

Very clean, pleasant helpful friendly staff however the food was awful. From starters to a variety of mains were inedible including monk fish, pork kebabs etc. When asked if we enjoyed the meal we commented truthfully that every thing was over cooked and we only ate the chips and salad. (Frozen chips)The young waitress offered us a replacement however could not see how anything else on the menu would be any better. Obviously no chef in the kitchen. Had not been here in years however it has been refurbished and looked lovely both externally and internally, pity the food is a great let down. AWFUL

I went to this restaurant with friends for Dinner.

The restaurant is a fair size with very bright lighting - so probably not the best romantic setting which was irrelevant for my visit anyway. It was apparent that it was popular with expats.

The menu was written in english and french as well as portuguese. There was a good selection of seafood and meats as well as the house specialties which included cooking your own meat at the table on a hot stone. There were also some menu options for children.

The staff were very efficient and friendly which always adds to the ambience.

I chose the pork kebab with king prawns. As I was driving, I was pleased they had alcohol free beer which not all restaurants in the area offer. The meal was amply portioned and we were provided with finger bowls to clean up after wrestling with the prawns.

Although I didn't participate, there was also a reasonable selection of deserts from which to choose.

All in all, a very pleasant evening and I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

We have visited this restaurant a few times now, both this recent holiday and 2 years previous.
The food has been consistently well cooked and delicious, never a poor meal here.
We always have the local wine, fruity red, dry white or the vinho Verde (better than any shop bought prosecco )
The waiting staff are well spoken, attentive and helpful. ( very good English)

We visited here with a group of friends and teenage children and everyone enjoyed their dinners.
We sat on a very sociable round table and most had the hot stone cooked steak, tuna or mixed hot stone.
In fact 3 teenagers shared the very reasonably priced 25 Euro mixed hot stone dish, and there was plenty to choose from, including steak, turkey, veal, prawns and sausages. Each hot stone dish was served with 3 sauces, chips and 3 different sauces, and the quality of the meat and fish was exceptional.
One person had the king prawn skewer, and this arrived to a delighted gasp! the prawns were large and tasty, and we were all envious, making a note to order this next time!!
The person who had the tuna on the stone was also impressed. The steak was generous and good quality, and served with vegetables and mini baked potatoes.
The wine list was excellent, the service very good and the prices extremely reasonable.
We will definitely go again and enjoyed our meal very much.
