Kaloni Village Holiday Houses
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 28 September 2017

With my parents coming back to this place every year, my sister and I had to see for ourselves what's so special about it. We definitely get it now! Kaloni Village is just the ideal place for a relaxing holiday. We had two two-person houses attached to each other with a beautiful pool just in front of our terrace. The pools are never busy as there are many of them scattered around the village. The beach is just a one minute walk away and also very peaceful. But what makes this place special is the staff - they welcome you with open arms and go out of their way to make sure you having a good time. Exploring the island, we found this to be representative of the people from Lesbos in general, so friendly, authentic and always smiling.

The staff here is excellent to the point that it feels like your are coming home. The bungalows make it a pleasure to stay for an extended time, the the food is excellent as well. Kalloni is in the center of the island and it is easy to get to anywhere from here. We will be back!

We were so glad to stay here. Calm place with beautiful swimming pool just in front of the rooms. There is a child play areas just beside of the rooms. Breakfast in the morning was great and rich.

It's not close to the center and to the other interesting points of the island. You must have car for the visits. As you are in a nature, you will see some small insects everywhere. Around the buildings, you can discover bird houses. We saw 2 times frogs in the pool, that's normal because the temperature was so high. We also discover big spiders around the doors. Internet was always problem inside of the rooms. We tried the find the best place to connect. It was not comfortable who loves to be connected always.

There is everything in the rooms, refrigerator, washing machine, television. The TV is not showing well and there is only one Turkish channel.

The beach near hotel is not good for adults, it's more suitable for small children. The depth of the water is around 60-100 cm even you walk 100m.

The hotel reception was so helpful and has a smiley face. At last day, she helped us about the late quit. Thank you so much.

It's the absolute best place to stay! we were a group of 5 ornithologists and rented the villa right at the sea. It's a fantastic place to stay, close to nature, close to the sea, in the center of the island, very peaceful. we had a little owl (Athene noctua) in our chimney. the crew is amazing and fulfils your wishes even before you said something. As a tourist, you don't see or feel anything of the refugees, so if you want to do something for the people of Lesbos the only right thing you can do is to travel to Lesbos and stay at the Kaloni Village Houses.
ps: if you're an ornithologist: it's very close to the saltpans of Kaloni, the number one hotspot for birding

Room Tip: if you're a group: take the villa at the sea, it's FANTASTIC

Fantastic self catering accommodation, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria, Ralou and their team. Excellent pools and gardens and is within walking distance to the beach.

Lovely warm and generous welcome from Maria, Ralou, Aphrodite and the rest of the team when we arrived.
Accommodation is cleaned every day and the apartments are kept spotless.
You can either eat on the complex or go into Skala where you will find enough good restaurants to satisfy your appetite.
There are 6 swimming pools and the beach is a 3 minute walk.
If you want to tour the island then obviously you will need a car/scooter and there is a hire place in Skala.
Typical Greek warmth and hospitality so what more could you want?

Room Tip: Near the bar area for good wi-fi reception.

In september the resort is more silent. A bit colder but still warm weather. Breakfast is satisfactory. Clean sheets, house, pools, garden. Sufficient kitchen and all. Sandy beach with wonderful gulf view and cabin, showers, etc. is five minutes walk away. Every town in the big island is the farthest about fifty minutes away, or closer. You stay in the resort and you will be addicted. But you absolutely have to have a car. I will come again for sure. I live close by.

Room Tip: I suppose houses with 10-15 and 50-55 numbers are the most silent in july august but have the weakes...
