Great Gully Lodge is a wonderful find (although try to get there during daylight ...) with a great setting. Being towards the end of the fall season, we were the only guests and while hardworking Sara got our room ready, her delightful daughter showed us around the property enthusiastically.
It wasn't until we looked thru the photo album on the table until we realized how much work the owners, Dennis and Sara, have put into this place. The interior is gorgeous, homey and a nice change from the frillyness of so many B&B's.
We stayed in the Ledges room; cozy, but nice, with private bath. The other 3 rooms vary from a similar room, a huge "master" and a skylit room with awesome view. Everything was clean and nicely appointed.
Dennis was away for work and Sara had to leave early the next morning; despite juggling what seems to be an insurmountable workload, she made us feel at home and had an excellent breakfast set out for us when we got up.
We went into nearby Gorham (not sure whether Randolph actually is a town) for dinner; but the recommended places were all closed on this Tuesday night and the remaining choices were slim.
I would recommend staying at least 2 nights to enjoy the place and surroundings.
