Stayed here for five nights in mid October. The property is located in a quaint location in a narrow lane opposite to the Alila Diwa resort. It has an open area around it shadowed by tall coconut trees.
There are lots of good restaurants at walking distance. They also deliver food to the guest house promptly. The majorda beach is a 10 minutes walk and there are a few scooter and car rentals around, along with alcohol and general stores.
We stayed in an AC double room on the first floor. There are a total of eight rooms in the guest house. The double room has a double bed with good mattresses, one sofa cum bed, flat screen television, a small fridge (stocked with water, beer and soft drinks which are replenished daily). There is a dressing mirror and a full sized cupboard to store clothes etc. The bathroom is clean and has ample supply of both hot and cold water at all times. The room also has a small balcony which looks out to the narrow lane and thick tropical vegetation.
The room was cleaned daily, water bottles were replenished at MRP and the linen was changed too. The guest house also has its own free wifi, the password for which can be taken from Judy.
The owner, Judy is very approachable and helpful. She helped us rent a car and was cooperative with the check out time too. She also has taxis available for sight seeing and airport transfer.
The guest house had all the facilities one could ask for in the price.
I had a great stay and would definitely stay in this place again on my next goa visit.

Room tip: First floor rooms have a more private feel.

This place is run by a lovely lady, Judy, who made sure the place ran efficiently. Check in and checkout, both were smooth, so much so that Judy made sure I didn't leave anything behind in the room while checking out. The rooms are large, airy, well ventilated. Bathroom is clean, fittings are new and has hot water 24*7. The rooms also have a fridge stocked with things that Judy sells at MRP. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. When you're in Goa for a much needed break, you don't want to deal with an uncooperative guesthouse owner or a poorly maintained facility. This guest house and the way Judy runs it made sure my stay here was hassle free. Even rented us her car when we had trouble finding one. I hope she keeps up with the maintenance and remains as involved an owner as she is now. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in Goa.

loved the place. Judy, the owner, is very friendly. the aspect that i liked most was the cleaniness. rooms were cleaned everyday, the refrigerator (mini bar) was refilled daily. location wise, it is close to majorda beach and has restaurants and liquor shops nearby. cost of stay is also reasonable.

We have stayed at John's Highland Comfort on 2 occasions the last time for 6 weeks and are going again this January. Set in a peaceful village it has everything needed for a quite holiday, John and Judy are very friendly and always on hand to help in any way they can. The guesthouse has 8 rooms on 2 floors each with its own balcony or terrace, there is WiFi, LCD television, large fridge with mini bar and drinks are reasonably priced. rooms are cleaned daily.
Located in a small village between Majorda and Betalbatin there are several small shops a larger supermarket and a 2 restaurants, there is a local bus service into Margoa and taxi's are also available, the beach is a 15min walk away where there are 3 shacks all of which are worth visiting. no hesitation in recommending this place can't wait to go back
