We camped for 2 weeks in September 2017. The hiking trails are fantastic, filled with lots and lots of beautiful green foliage/rocks. We did the 10 km hiking trail and some of the shorter ones. The paddling is wonderful as well. Places to bring the canoe in and sit for a picnic. We had a terrific vacation. But beware of the walnuts falling on your trailer.

Camp sites were well maintained and of good quality. Pet friendly beach was great. The hiking trails were nice and challenging. We brought our canoe but there were canoes to rent, which made the visit that much nicer. The interpretive centre was fair and the evening event that we attended at the was great for kids and adults. Very informative.

This place is pretty sweet, went here on a week long fishing trip and it did not disappoint. Campgrounds are well kept although sometimes are very close, you can smell when your neighbor farts in some places. Typical stuff for families to do hiking, swimming, biking. You know annoying stuff for those without kids. Monday- Thursday in September was great super quiet only older people around no kids, super chill. Then the weekend came, influx of the families. And all the bros and broettes, went from chill fishing to people being obnoxious. Almost got t boned by some derp.

Anyways chill beautiful, regular prices for stuff 7.5 for a bag of wood that's good for one day, 5 for a bag of kindling, wood always a bit damp too. So make ur own choices on that :P

Only real complaint was the lack of hot moms.

We camped there for 5 days. Loved it. Lots to do from hiking, canoeing, swimming and the discover center. Camp in the middle section or the far section. They are close to the beaches

Sites are decent and semi private, poison ivy is better than in past years. Beach needs benches or tables to sit at. Small swimming area. A few trails, nothing spectacular. Average.

My wife and I spent the day kayaking off of beach number two. The park had closed off this area to Motorcraft so it was nice and quiet and we did not have to worry about waves of any kind. This was adjacent to a campground and there were very few people actually in the water except the few that were kayaking. We have our own kayak rent kayaks and canoes there. Crystal clear water.

We spent three nights at Charleston Lake Provincial Park. This is the quietest park we have visited. However, we have not been to one in over twenty two years as we previously owned a cottage. We enjoyed our time due to the fact we were with family. Good hiking trails and really would have liked to take advantage of the lake for canoeing but not enough time. Great park for children who enjoy looking for frog, snakes and feeding chipmunks!

We had a super nice weekend at Charleston National Park. We were on lot 366 (close to other lots) and my sister and her family were on lot 365 (way more private). As the name of the campground says, the lots were in the shade so that’s really good for camping. Beach was awesome. There also was an area for dogs to swim which was great! Bathroom were very clean but dry toilets were really smelly (probably because of the heat). It’s not a camping ground suited for parties.

Went here for quick 3 day get away. Great sight we had but some are open and very close to road so be careful making your selection.
Friendly staff. Park is clean and washroom and showers were very clean.
Mosquitos we're heavy in evening and morning so take off. We bought hard wood at Park but it did alot of smoldering. Not sure if it was wet or crap wood.
Beach was clean and water perfectly clean and clear.
Will stay again
