On our drive back from Portugal we stopped here for the night as it was sort of on the route we had taken. It was good value and looked OK from the pictures and reviews we had seen.
The hotel is very clean and modern, and looks fairly new from what I can see. The reception area and restaurant area are very simple, similar to an eTap or equivalent budget hotel in the UK.
Our room was of good size, had a double bed with a singe bed above in form of a bunk bed. This would make it better value for a small family, but would start to get a little cramped with 3 adults. Everything you need for an overnight stay was in the room; storage, information of local places and a nice bathroom stocked with some shampoo/body wash. The shower was good; hot and powerful. We had no complaints about the room.
It was apparent, to me anyway, that when we were driving to the hotels location, it is out the way of any local towns. It must be located on a popular travel route. Being tired from our journey, we didn't want to travel around the vicinity to look for a place to eat, so we opted for a Macdonalds located on a nearby retail park. Not the best, but it tied us over for the night. We were guilty of not researching the area prior to arrival, so perhaps I missed a couple of little gems.
Overall, we had a good stay and the hotel offered us exactly what we were after. A short stay, a good sleep and a nice refreshing shower.
