We stayed at Le Bome for a night during a tour of quebec in August 2011.

The room was very nice (we were at the last floor) and the rest of the place nicely decorated. Only the bathroom was small, something we have found to be quite common in places we went in Quebec.
Owners were incredibly nice and friendly, made us feel at home.

The highlight of the place is the cuisine, exceptionally good in our opinion and even after reading the review we were surprised by the quality of it !
It is easily the best place in that regard of our 10 days in Quebec (but we didn't planned the trip specifically for that purpose).
A little bit expensive, but quality has a price !
Breakfast was also top quality with a good choice and eggs made as you like them.

To answer a previous comment from another reviewer, yes the Chef lived in France and learned his art there, might explain why you can find such high quality in this somewhat isolated place ;)

A must and definitely recommended.

Fantastic place. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. I can't believe the prices either--it seems like they should be charging at least twice the rate. This is the kind of place where you feel like you are staying at the place of your best friend's super-cool and wealthy rich relative, who loves life and wants you to feel happy and at home. Seriously, we left feeling like we were indebted to them.

The rooms are cozy, with fun colors and decorated with great taste. Incredibly romantic. Great views of the river from your room. The second floor has a jacuzzi and sauna, with a cd player and cups for your wine or beer. Also a lovely living area with beautiful comfy sofas and a porch overlooking the river. We found this to be a beautiful and cozy place to read books while it rained. The hosts are awesome--they take pleasure in you enjoying yourself.

The hosts are also amazing chefs (and I'm picky about food). The breakfast is solid, with eggs cooked to perfection, freshly baked croissants, nice meats, fresh fruits and great coffee with warmed milk. The dinners are out of this world gourmet, featuring meats they've hunted themselves. My sense is that they've studied cooking professionally in France. Quite pricey though (40 dollar main courses), so I'd recommend booking a room/dinner package.

The one drawback of the area is that the restaurants in a 45 minute radius of this place are truly horrible. (Thought we did hear that restaurants in Les Flores were decent, they just close early and are closed on Monday and Tuesday.) Plan to eat here if you can.

If you live in Quebec City or Montreal, this place should be your go to romantic retreat for a weekend or anniversary. If you're traveling to either city, definitely make a trip here (it's about halfway in between) and enjoy the beautiful region of lakes, low hills, and wildlife. I will definitely make the trip back.

We arrived here late in the evening after getting lost in the woods. Although the kitchen was already closed (and cleaned) the owners kindly made a meal for us. And what a meal: everything was very tasty! They were very friendly: they gave us advice about the region and didn't mind that we stayed in the restaurant to have some more drinks after dinner. The rooms are clean and spacious. Indeed, the bath is in the room so you need to make some arrangements if you share the room, but that should not be a problem. We highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed here two nights and chose the hotel on recommendation and because it was very convenient for visitiing the nearby La Mauricie national park. The room was clean and average size. Good queen size bed. The only drawback was that they squeezed a full size bath tub into one corner of the room. Apart from being impracticle if you want a quick shower (no curtain) it takes up a lot of space. Toilet and washbasin are en suite. On the plus side is the huge jacuzzi on the first floor which we were free to use. There was a shower next to jacuzzi. As there were not many guests so early in the season we could shower there. The best thing this hotel has going for it is its cuisine. There is a limited choice of great dishes, well prepared and well presented as well as good choice of wine. Owners/chef/patron are very friendly and do everything to make you welcome. Views from the balcony over the river were breath taking. Great place to relax after some serious trekking in the National Park
