Visited Merlots for lunch and was blown away by the experience. The service was top class and the food was divine. Highly recommend their Salami Pizza which comes with a spicy kick to it. Never had a salami pizza that good ever! Great ambience and you can enjoy your food with the best locally made beer or in my case Cider slide. Certainly on the list of my top restaurants.

There was a shortage of staff, other tables were complaining because of the lack of attention. They were absolutely willing, but couldn't handle it properly. My entree (ansjovis) was more like an appetizer, but tasty. My main course (poultry) was totally incoherent and no match with the sublime Chardonnay. The place itself has no warm atmosphere; it is rather big, lacks coziness and is too well lit in the evening. As if you were in a glass house. At the bar you felt a cold airstream getting in. But this is all a matter of taste! They were so kind to make me pay the day after, because I forgot my wallet.

Meletos was one of our personal favourites on our visite to the Yarra Valley. The setting is beautiful and the evening lighting really gives this place a cosy and yet sophisticated touch. We enjoyed a few different plates to share: the truffled honey goats cheese is a standout.
If you want to enjoy a relaxed, no fuss evening - Meletos is definitely a go to place.

Meletos restaurant is sited in a modern, light and attractively designed building in a vineyard. The menu had many unusual options primarily Italian inspired plus wood fired pizza's. From the list of salumi we selected the prosciutto with beautiful sourdough break and olive oil. The baked gnocchi was served as a thick slice with shallots and a whole cooked pear in a rich honey sauce. This and the caramelised onion tart with potatoes, manchego and rocket were fabulous although on the small size. The wine list offered a good choice of local wines and the Napoleone beer and cider. service was professional and attentive.

Great Cafe, great scenery, nice food bit pricey for offerings but very disappointing in their seating/booking schedule. Highly un organised and clearly no system in place as we waited two and half hours for a table for 6 people. There were tables that were empty for up to half hour and then people would be seated. Everyone around us had been seated and we were still waiting. I finally complained and we were finally seated 2 hrs later after arrival.
Meletos i think you either need to start taking bookings or create seating sessions for busy days and re look at your seating arrangements.
