We had the best Sunday roast lunch. The food was 5 star and good value, the service was excellent and friendly.it was our first visit and we will go again and tell and take friends. We wished we lived further away, so we could stay there.

Went here as 4 couples on a Friday in March. It was our 3rd visit. The bar was very busy and it did take a while to get served but the staff weren't flustered and were professional throughout. The wine and food menu's are very varied with something to suit all tastes and the restaurant "room" itself well spaced and nicely done out. We did have to wait a while to order but as we were on a special night out that wasn't really an issue. This is my number one choice in the area......forget the rest. Good food, good wine and not overly expensive. Recommend the NZ Pinot Noir !

I stayed overnight at the Mulberry Tree and found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with a very good deep bath. It is decorated in what I'd call muted Farrow and Ball gastropub style but with the dim lighting and the rather odd lighting on the stairs and corridor to the rooms makes it rather dim and a bit odd. The lighting in the dining room was the same and felt very gloomy at breakfast. The room doors have a tendency to bang shut loudly if not close carefully, so I was woken at midnight and then just before 5.30 by slamming doors. Food was good - the duck spring roll was excellent, the burger OK.

It was a good start to be greeted by friendly staff , the bed was super comfy and my room was spotlessly clean. Dinner was amazing. All in all a great stay. Would definitely recommend. Oh and breakfast was great too!

My husband and I recently stayed here whilst attending a conference in Norwich. The hotel's public rooms and areas (stairs, corridoors) are shabby and tired, with odd wires hanging down in places.
Our room was comfortable, with a king sized bed, but the biggest draw back was that it was at the front of the building, facing the road, and secondary glazing has been installed....great we thought, we won't be disturbed by the traffic...however we were unable to open any of the windows! Thank goodness we werent staying in the heat of the summer.
The bathroom was cold (no heating in it) and no towel rail. There was a light bulb missing and the cleaners had not emptied the bin since the previous guest.
The positive part of the stay was the food, which was good and served by friendly helpful staff. They did their best when we waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive.
Not a pleasant experience I'm afraid.
