I didn’t really plan to stay a night in Lahad Datu, but was forced due to flight issue.

This is supposed to be a 3-star hotel, but is maximum 2-star.

My first impression was great, as lobby and elevator are new and modern, but all these ends once you enter the room.

Room is filthy and flimsy, and bed is not comfortable.

View from my room was nice, at least one positive point in the room.

Due to lack of noise insulation, you cannot sleep until well after midnight due to the traffic noise of the nearby highway.

Don't recommend visiting the area as a tourist due to terrorist activities in the region. If you do visit, don't go alone. The locals, like all Malaysians are very friendly, Recommend you view the FCO travel advice before you decide to visit.

Hotel is close to airport and convenient stopover on way to Danum Valley or Tabin Reserve. Room clean and has everything we need. Staff quick to attend to problem with in-room safe.
BUT located by main road and very very noisy even in the early hours of the morning.

Stayed one night before heading to Danum Valley. Not far from airport. Room was ok, but very noisy outside so didn't sleep that well. Bathroom ok but toilets didn't flush properly. We were annoyed the restaurant was closed all evening so we had to walk around Lahad Datu - not what we wanted to do and wouldn't recommend it to others either! It's cheap, and does the job, but that's about it!

We stayed at My Inn Hotel for one night before heading into the Borneo Rainforest.

The hotel was perfectly functional, relatively comfortable and met our needs as a stop over.

For the £30 or so we paid for the night, including breakfast, we got what we paid for - basic comfort.
