After an 18 hour long journey we reach Sangla at 1600 Hours, we searched a lot of hotels and found this one to be the most appropriate with all the basic amenities like hot n cold water, television set, D2H connection, absolute cleanliness and Above all great views. Though it's not a very luxurious place, but it's a very cosy and comfortable place. As we were a group of 4 friends, we booked 2 rooms 103 and 104. Room 104 has great view, with a big balcony overlooking the Apple Orchards and River Baap with Mighty Himalaya at the back drop. There are not too many choices of food available in the hotel, but with limited choices the quality and taste of the food is great. Caretaker Ramesh is the one who cooks the food and is responsible for the maintenance. The rooms are well within the budget and yes the views are marvelous.........

Room tip: Best Rooms are the ones on the first floor, facing the Apple orchards

Sangla is a place where the nature has been very bountiful, beautiful landscape and lovely weather.

This is the place from where we get best apples Kinnaur in India.

Sangla is cut off from the rest of the world for about 4 months every year.

Sangla resort is a misnomer as it is just a guest house managed by a single person but still worth it.

It is built within a apple orchard and you can pluck apples off the balcony.

Food is very basic and depending upon your guidance it can be cooked by all in one caretaker.

Me and my travel companion were there for 3 nights. Accommodation is clean and neat. The caretaker is very accommodating and immaculate. It was as expected and nothing was over committed. I will recommend it to anyone traveling to sangla. It is a walking distance to the market as well.
Food served is home cooked and very delicious.
The owner also helped us in arranging for a trek to Kanda and a day trip to Karcham.
Thumbs up and all Stars.

Caretaker is also the cook. Cooks simple food as if you are at home. Hotel has orchard having different fruits trees. Good time to go in September so that you can eat Kinnaur apples. Value for money. Room rate is approx. 800/-. Food prices are resonable. Variety may not be there as they depands on local vegatables & also supply from city comes once in a week.

Room tip: view from 1st floor rooms balcony is good.

Never mistake it for a hotel. You're left at the discretion of the only available man who's the caretaker, cleaner, cook & so much finnaci about cleanliness that your kids cannot eat anything in your own room because he's concerned about cleanliness - be prepared for surprise visits even during nights. There's no area for dining but still Ramesh will stress you to have your meals at reception area.
We travelled in october & made him aware that we will be using own heater - the only available power point was the geyser one in bathroom but to our surprise there was no electricity in our room post midnight & in the morning we found that there was electricity in other rooms but he maintained that half of the hotel phase has gone off.
Property is Good but neither the owner doesn't live there nor there's adequate staff to maintain it - no way you can compare it with Banjara or even any hptdc hotel. Ramesh boast about the owner as some Retired DGP of himachal living in sec-15 of Noida.

Room tip: All rooms are same but on the first floor as they all have a common balcony.
