Part of a flying group of 12 people and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days,
Great service from start to finish, the best food thanks to Mathew, chef. which we all missed throughout the rest of our around Qld Trip.
Anita, Mathew and staff looked after our every need throughout our holiday. Suggest taking the guided walk to the Moss Gardens and the Platipus viewing.

Room Tip: They all have great views and have plenty of quiet wildlife nearby early morning and at sunset.

Loved this place. The lodge was an extremely comfortable cabin made to look tent style. Beds were extremely comfortable. We have never stayed in a place like this. By no means was it luxury but it fit perfectly to the outdoors type of holiday you are having. It would be weird if it was over the top luxury. But saying this it was very comfortable clean and perfect for our 3 nights stay. Some of the walks are not for the weak but there are plenty of options. The restaurant is above average and good hearty meals perfect for a hungry hiker. They had a great wine special which we took advantage of.

Three of us 'seniors' stayed here for three nights, sharing an en suite cabin/tent. The canvas walls and fly-net covered windows brought the outside environment very close - we could sit up in bed and watch the kangaroos feeding on the grassed areas outside, and the birds in the surrounding trees. It rained heavily while we were there but the inside of our accommodation stayed warm and dry. The ensuite was small but adequate, with a shower over the bath. Better lighting in the bedroom area (especially beside the single bed) would have been appreciated, as would a third chair and a larger table. The beds were warm and comfortable, the staff friendly, and it was great having the Australian Nature Guides discovery centre on-site so we could easily find out more about the stunning Carnarvon Gorge and the walks available in the area.

We stayed here for four nights. The lodge is conveniently located a 5 min drive from the Carnarvon Gorge visitor centre. Our cabin was en suite and very comfortable. You can watch the kangaroos and wallabies while sitting on your own private porch at breakfast or having drinks in the evening. The lodge restaurant serves fabulous food although you do pay a little extra for the privilege of top quality food in such a remote location. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for two nights to see Carnarvon Gorge (not long enough, but will go back). The lodge is lovely and quiet, with the cabins being spacious. We had three kids in our cabin and it was quite roomy. Dinner at the restaurant was AMAZING! A little expensive, but when the food is good, you don't mind paying extra. Recommended.

Gorgeous oasis amongst the cycads! Cabin/tents are roomy, clean and the bed is of good quality. The fridge was noisy, no wonder it was all iced up. The bathroom is very basic, with "plastic fantastic" fittings/mounting from the early 80ties. Amenities are on the stingy side. The towels are of good quality and size. The deck is in desperate need of repair, the same goes for the chairs. Food was excellent and my wives vegetarian wishes were accommodated courteously. The pool is a non event, not inviting. A hot spa would be a hit to rejuvenate the body. Staff are friendly, with the exception of the receptionist who had a patronising attitude on check-in. We will return, because of the convenient proximity to the Gorge.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay, meals and vegetarian wishes. I am shocked to hear the pool was not inviting as our groundsmen clean the pool each day but I will be sure to monitor it more closely. Yes a hot spa would be nice :) Thank you for staying with us and we hope you continue to travel safely.

Glamping all the way: sleeping in large tents on a queen size bed with private bathroom. Waking up with kangooroos surrounding your tent and birds whistling away. Just a minute drive from the start of the main walks at the visitor centre. Fine dining at the restaurant. The pool is a bit cold and not very clean though.
