Today June 5 2017 I left the Lodge that I first visited 30 years ago. Recently under the new management of Anita and Mathew. The Lodge in my opinion has always been well managed and continues to be so under Anita and Mathew. All of the staff are to be commended for their interest in guests culminating in guests feeling comfortable and welcomed. The cabin accomodation Is very pleasant set among Ancient Cycads and grazing kangaroos. I always fly myself to Carnarvon and we have the wonderful experience of being able to land our plane on an airstrip owned by the Ogg family's
Property Ingelara, another experience made possible by generous owners.
The walks into the Gorge are so beautiful they equal anything in Australia. The Gorge is easier now in all weather to reach as a fantastic sealed road has been built over the passed year. If you are looking for an incredible experience stay at the Wilderness Lodge and walk into the Carnarvon Gorge.More
