Immaculately presented in beautiful surrounds. Lovely host Esme was so welcoming and a hearty breakfast of mince and toast and potato rosti to send us on our journey. A quiet part of the world yet close enough to drive to Waihi Beach and nearby wonders.

we were stranded in the area due to the storm so it was a last minute booking. the host and hostess were super and we are critical as we travel a lot. Faultless. We would highly recommend this to all travellers.

Room tip: both roms are very good.

My husband stayed here for a night to get away from the Auckland bustle. It was a wonderful place to stay. Esmae & Ed were welcoming without being overbearing & provided lovely home from home touches - e.g. home baking & a beer. The room was immaculate with a huge comfy bed & an ensuite with a shower big enough for a party. A separate dining / living room for the guests was welcoming with tea & coffee on hand. The breakfast was delicious - homemade yoghurt on delicious granola & an amazing choice of cooked options.
While only a few minutes from Waihi Beach & restaurants, it offered peace & quiet in a residential area on top of a hill overlooking a bird sanctuary.

We spent two nights at Ahuru bed n breakfast and had Christmas lunch prepared by the host, Esme. Attention to detail with everything, beautiful Xmas decorations and sweets left in our room. Esme attended to my Celiacs requirements happily and she really put a lot of effort to ensure my dietary requirements were met, exceeded. The spa was lovely, which was enjoyed in the evenings. Our room was very attractive and very nice bathroom with a couple shower. The swing seat outside our room was utilised a lot. Our dog was gratefully accommodated too. A large field which is adjacent to the property and overlooks Waihi Beach, where we could exercise the dog. Ed and Esme are wonderful hosts and we will be back to enjoy another pampered night or two away.

Room tip: East and west rooms are both quiet and sunny
