a very nice cosy place. hot tub was spot on. would come back again for sure. gets bit cold in the evening but the fire place helps keep so warm.
Lovely Location and very quiet - until we got there!!! Booked for my 50th. Lovely property with great hot tub. Beds were super comfy and plenty of bathrooms even for 8 women! We hired a couple of freelance beauticians for Sat afternoon - Anita and her girls from Coastal Zen were brilliant. All in all a fantastic weekend.
We have just returned from a break in this stunning North Devon location the farm itself is a rural location but you can reach Beaches and Towns in 15 to 20 minutes and you are central to a lot of places which is nice.
The cabin is beautiful and you can tell the owners have put a lot of time and effort into the interior and equipment that is provided with the property for your stay.
The owner was very helpful answering all of our questions from the moment we booked and was very welcoming on arrival.
The children loved having lots of space to ride there bikes and found the giant gorilla a highlight of the stay.
I have to echo the other reviews and after looking at all the information and checking out the internet decided to book the log cabin for our yearly Easter break. A Truly beautiful part of the world and we are already looking to book again for the summer holidays.
You will not be dissappointed, in fact our expectations were met and then some. The log cabin was clean, cosy and the beds very comfy and the owner very welcoming and full of helpful tips of places to visit and great recommendations of places to eat. It was perfect. The lounge very beautiful with a cosy fire great for catching up with a glass of wine. Also with the added bonus of a lovely hot tub. Heaven.
Booked this cabin for weekend during the Easter Break.
Booking was done online though HomeAway, i booked and paid for it. An hour later the owner CONFIRMED the reservation.
I had the trip planned and also booked and paid for minibus (8pax were intending to stay there) people who needed to take time off made arrangements. All necessary food and misc items shopping done. We were ready to go!
The owner decides at last minute to cancel the reservation without any reason. His response was 'sorry was not available to hire' and 'sorry cant help this time..'
It left us with less than 2 days to find alternative accommodation (Extremely difficult during this busy period and with our group size) or loose approx £500 spent on transportation. Not to mention money will be tied up in their bank refund process for 5 to 7 days.
Advice is to look elsewhere if you don't want last minute headache.
We had a fabulous time at the log cabin. It was very clean, tidy, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The kitchen table was gorgeous.
We found it with no problem and the Gorilla was fun to see, the dogs took great interest in the fella.
The pub called The Old Station was a great recommendation too, very tasty and close by.
As it is fairly quiet around the area, best to take with you some things for fun, such as board games, books, puzzles etc. Internet is quite weak but it's also nice to escape social media and enjoy the nature around this beautiful location! Kids and dogs would love it too!
When arriving place automatically won us over, big rooms, tidy and clean and beautiful inside and out.
Hot tub was a great addition to the weekend and easy to use.
Car essential from location but nothing further than 20 minutes away (shops, beach)
Owner helpful, responded quickly and easy to get answers off and checked we were having a good time which was lovely
Definitely recommend and hoping to go back next year!
