I have stayed for almost a week at this hotel. Overall staff is very friendly and always smiling even if you bring them issues. My room was full of cockroaches! I was killing 3-4 a day and they were keep on coming from washroom out of nowhere... absolutely unpleasant experience unless you love these creatures. Reported to staff and they have explained that pest control is done twice a month. Well...
One night woke up in the middle of the night as something was actively moving on the floor...cockroaches the whole family

We stayed at the Laguna Hotel Club in August this year for 2 weeks. We traveled with our 5 year old son. We have stayed at various hotels and villas in the area (which we love) but due to financial burdens we had to go on an economical holiday this year! Well - what value for money we received! We had a ground floor room which was large and spacious. Our son spelt on a sofa bed and we had our own room - it was cleaned thoroughly every day by extremely friendly cleaning staff.

From our room it was just a few stepping stones to the family pool, the highlight of which was its slide! The kids club is small but welcoming and they have many different activities on - mostly art based.

The F&B in the hotel is great - it costs a little more than some of the local restaurants but it's fresh and served with care. Breakfast was free of charge and became a little boring after 2 weeks as it NEVER changed! I do not believe that they have enough seating for everyone staying at the resort as three times we had to come back for a table or sit at the bar.

The staff are all brilliant, very friendly, very helpful and will go out of their way to help you.

We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ground floor makes life much easier!

We booked a 2 bed apartment which is huge. Double bed in one room, twin in the other and then a sofa bed in the living room. The living area is well laid out and plenty of space for us 5 (3 adults & 2 kids - 3 & 6 yrs). Small kitchen too!

The staff are very friendly and super helpful. The pool is on the smaller side, but with 2 young ish ones you have full view so easy to keep any eye on them. There is a water slide that is good for 3+, any younger and it’s down to the confidence of the child. Pool is not manned, but staff are around as there is a bar and restaurant by the side.

Drinks are more on the pricey side, ok for a few. But you might want to consider a short walk to the Canal Village and go to the Super Mart, or if more willing, there is a 10-15 min walk to another that is outside the resort. Taxis are relatively cheap so if going for a bigger shop, there is a Tesco Lotus nearby too.

There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the other hotels if you wish to have a nose such as the Banyan Tree, or to the beach. Angsana is a 5 minute walk if you fancy yourself a spa treatment. They are good value as the massage I had was great and cheaper than UK. Also gave me the full 60 mins too!

The Canal village, also a 5 min walk has cafes, a couple of shops, and a boat shuttle on the lagoon which is free. It stops off at the hotels, but you could just do a ride round. The kids enjoyed it. Takes about 20 mins.

Overall hotel, is a good location, spacious rooms and very clean. The WiFi is a bit flaky, but that’s not unusual in hotels generally. Still managed to check message from from and the odd FT too! Definitely would visit again.

When we arrived we were immediately upgraded (to a larger room) and we were allowed to check in (even though we were about 90 minutes earlier than check-in time). The staff is so friendly and courteous, and even if there is a limited understanding of English, they still do their best.

This place is so kid friendly--the slide and pool were great! (downside is the pool closes at 6:30--I wish it would have stayed open longer). The breakfast buffet was nice (there was a guy who will cook you omelets made to order), but the nice perk was that they basically had a cafe--you could order lattes, espresso, or just coffee (iced or hot).

I wish it was closer to the beach, but that turned out okay. Since we went at the beginning of the rainy season, the winds were so strong that no one was allowed to swim at the beach anyway--so we spent our time at the pool.

We tried to organize a time to go to the hotel spa (it is at the other resort) but we couldn't figure out a great time for us, so instead the hotel staff called an made myself and my husband appointments at a spa right outside the resort--they also arranged transportation!

Basically, if you need anything--just ask. They will help you get whatever you need!

We stayed at the Laguna Holiday club during May 2018 for a few nights and I would say the resort matched our expectations. We booked it based on reviews which said it was good for kids and it was.
We stayed in the junior suite and the room looked exactly as what was depicted in the pictures on the website. Our room overlooked the golf course and was quite spacious.
The swimming pool was quite nice for my 5 year old daughter as she could venture on her own and play with the slide which was a bonus for her.
The staff was always there to help and we did not have to repeat any requests.
They did a fantastic job and we loved their warm nature.
The shuttle was a nice way to get around places within the Laguna and we did have dinners in the restaurants there with theme nights. The barbecue dinner at the sister hotel was amazing. Its quite a big area and the shuttle takes you around without any hassles.
the breakfast was decent but repetitive.
The staff is not pushy for anything and you can easily book activities from other vendors and they can find this Hotel quite easily.
You can take a shuttle to the beach and also walk comfortably back to the hotel.
There are quite a few options to dine just outside the resort as well. An Indian restaurant just 100 meters from the entrance. We also went for a spa within the vicinity of the resort and they offer a pick-up and drop facility to the resort which makes it even convenient. The prices are reasonable and they are on the approach road to the resort.
Evenings can be fun walking within or just outside the resort.
In all it was an amazing warm experience and my special thanks to all your wonderful staff for making us feel at home.
We loved our stay and would surely recommend.
