The hotel is perched above the water close to the sea lock of the Crinan Canal. Most or possibly all of the rooms are at the front so have great views over the water and out to some of the islands. The bulding is perhaps slightly old-fashioned in style but comfortable.
We felt that £45 for dinner in the main restaurant was a little pricey so opted for the Seafood Bar where we ate really well for much less.
There is an interesting small art gallery on the top floor.
