This is a beautiful island surrounded by beautiful beaches.
The beach house added colour to the getaway

Tarkwa bay I have been to twice . I really enjoy the beach. It is clean and sometimes not too busy. It’s more fun when not too busy. You can surf there if that’s your thing . Otherwise you can just sit and enjoy the scenery and play in the water .

This is a nice beach without too much stress. We took a motorized catamaran from Tarzan Bay, costing 4000N per person both ways. You rent sun loungers, table and roof over head for double price if you are white like me ;) Can buy cold drinks delivered in a coolbag, but most people bring food and drinks for one day. Not much stress with sellers since they rarely come under the roof. The sand are fine and relatively clean area. Did not test the sea itself, but many were in the sea to cool down.

It was a fun and relaxing place to visit. We had to take a boat to the beach which cost 500NGN (one way) per person. On getting off the boat, be ready to sieve through the many offers that'll come from the locals. We had to haggle prices for a hut and seats after paying 200NGN for entry (a few rude people sell tickets, try to stay sane and calm)
I'll advice you go there with your own food and drinks even though there are people hawking some snacks but not proper food. Don't let anyone help you carry your things except you're certain it's free (hardly) or you've agreed on a price.
We got a good spot around the music stand which was good.
In all, I think it was worth it and relaxing. Maybe not the cleanest beach but still enjoyable.
