we stayed on oct 1st 2017.parking area average..food lounge restaurant is an additional advantage...
i give 4 out of 5..good for medium budget

Not a ethical in honoring with customer booking.

i have booked this hotel for 13 to 15 Aug 2017 using Agoda. Very next day branch manager communicates that all are sold out and agoda booking to be cancelled by myself. I have called Agoda and they are saying that there is no such information from hotel. I shared the email of hotel mgr to Agoda. After a day Agoda also told please cancel as they have sold it out of Agoda. But till now, i am seeing hotel soorya castle still posting new sales using booking.com with different high rates. pls check in internet.

I see this way the hotel is unethical in honoring the booking made online and trying to make use of market demand and selling it to another customer at better price. I am not sure how many customer booked as of now for upcoming independence day long weekend 12 to 15 Aug 2017. I hope no customer should get disappointed after reaching the hotel for upcoming vacation

We had actually booked at vythiri views resort for the long weekend and ran from there after seeing it. I have reviewed it separately. All the hotels and resorts in wayanad were full and After 3 hours of searching, God helped us find accommodation in this good hotel. It was around 9PM and my 10 month old son was irritated in the car travelling since morning. We found this gem in the main road close to vythiri on calicut road.
Initially,as with other hotels, this was full too. After I told my plight to Mr. Prashob and another gentleman, who were in-charge, They politely asked me to wait as they had a guest arriving at 9.30PM. Luckily, the guest didn't arrive and that room was allotted to us.
The hotel is new, clean and decent for families. It just has accommodation and a restaurant, with a souvenir shop. The room was air conditioned and big enough for my sons to pay around. The bed was big, sofa was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We were tired and hit the for the night. Generator was used during power cuts and had bathroom had individual geysers. Hotel does not have swimming pool and other amenities, but quite enough as the picturesque wayanad has lot of places to offer.
Restaurant serves mainly north Indian and chinese. Food was okay and was frequented mostly by outsiders as it was in the main road. Breakfast was complimentary with limited items, tasty though. Room service was quick and good. Staff are polite and service is good though new.
Parking facility is good.
The hotel is comparatively close to most sightseeing points.
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed wayanad's magic. A lovely place and we will definitely love to stay at soorya castle.
This is a new hotel and I hope they maintain it well. Special thanks to Mr. Prashob and the other gentleman for saving our holiday. Wayanad is a paradise!
