We stayed at this retreat for three days and I would recommend it most highly. The staff were super friendly and were very helpful and accommodating. The cottages are extremely comfortable, surrounded by a view of the meadows, which is surreal. The food was very good with a lot of variety.
The high spot of our stay were the early morning alarm calls of the spotted deer from right across the field. Although we missed seeing the tiger this time, we learnt later from the naturalist that one of the tigers did cross the area of the watering hole a few minutes before we stepped out into our balcony.
The elephant herd with their calves at the watering hole were a visual treat to watch, and we got to watch them pretty much every evening. They were usually accompanied by the gaurs and deer as well. The naturalist at the retreat had such good knowledge about the birds that we got to learn about a lot of new species. The kids too had a great time petting and pampering the small farm animals at the retreat and also watching the monkeys jump from the roof of one cottage to another or swinging between the tree branches.
Would love to visit this retreat once again.More
