My husband and I stayed for 3 wonderful nights recently in this wonderful home. The hosts are most welcoming and delightful hosts. The setting is a quaint village a short drive to st Emilion and all the vineyards. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed the alfresco area and pool. They are wonderful cooks. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a fantastic meal with other guests for extra cost. There are not enough adjectives to describe the uniqueness and beauty of this accommodation.
We stayed here for 2 nights in early July 2014 and wished we could have been for a year.
The beautifully furnished and restored building (last year) was rescued by Alain and David who were fantastically warm and welcoming hosts. Their little dogs were so cute too, if only we had room in our bags!
Dinner was offered to us in advance of our arrival and we graciously accepted as we were arriving quite late. WOW what a dinner. 5 courses of superbly made french cuisine and great conversation made for a lovely evening. we were stuffed too!
The huge garden is expertly maintained with a myriad edible plants many of which we ate at dinner and breakfast! The pool was warm and very clean and the perfect place to relax after a day site seeing.
Chambres en vigne is an exquisit oasis of style and tranquility. We hope to return.
