“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2012

We have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing week at the Raddison bleu Hotel.
The staff are most friendly, welcoming, informative and attentive. The location is fantastic on the most beautiful sandy bay with the added value of backing on to a delightful Marina with mountains behind.
There is an infinity pool looking over the bay surrounded by green luscious palm trees. If your feeling active there is plenty to do including water sports, power walking and tennis.
The food is delicious wonderful fresh fish and other exotic delights. Good buffet style restaurant with endless fresh fruit and a good choice of hot and cold dishes.
Definitely one of our top 10 hotels. Such a pleasure a real joy can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: The best rooms are either looking out onto the garden or the Marina. Also take the boat to the airpo...

From your entry to the reception you are most welcomed, the staff are happy and most helpful.
Rooms are newly renovated, large and nicely furnished. the pool and beach facilities are superb. Beach attendant is most helpful in arranging your sun bed and umbrella, and the beach is spotless, good safe swimming, with views of Anguilla. Breakfast is plentiful with omelettes to order. Dinner is expensive, but setting is overlooking beach. There are two small restaurants just outside by Marina.
Good for 3 to 4 nights break, before/after cruise!

Room Tip: Upper floors overlooking the Gardens or Marina seem better, but more expensive.

Stayed for one week, end of Jan 2012. We were a couple and one friend.
Rooms were great, plenty of little goodies supplied in the bathroom, cleaned and made up by lunchtime when we got back from the pool/beach.
Bed was the best in any hotel that we have stayed at, and room quiet at all times, 1st floor not facing the central gardens. The closer you can get to the pool beach the better as you dont get so many people past your room door.Try to get off the ground floor then you get more privacy from anyone walking by on the garden side.

The breakfast buffet was included with our package, and its sooo gooood!!!! Fills you for hours. Fruits, juices, breads, cooked, eggs bacon, hash browns, sausages, just about whatever. Opens 7 30 am.
The pool was clean and with plenty of loungers and umbrellas(a must) dont underestimate the sun! Same for the beach 50mts from the pool. Plenty of clean towels when you need from the pool hut.

The staff were always helpful and pleasant, trying to answer any questions or requests;

Car parking just by the hotel entrance was never a problem.

This was our first trip to the Island, and after moving around to a few other beaches and hotels we all agreed that this was by far the best location if you want a relaxing break.

If we return to St Martin will stay there again.

OK so here it is, small background on us...we (husband and wife) travel a lot and are fortunate enough to stay at some of the nicest places but still like to see value. This is the second time we have come to the Radisson Blu in 2-years which should say a lot. We booked early and got a good rate, there is a direct flight from New York and the whole island is really friendly. Much like Puerto Rico and unlike Bahamas, the weather seems to always be good. The hotel rooms are newly renovated (half were when we visited and the other half were being done with no disturbance to the half that were done). The rooms are simple, large enough and most importantly clean. The hotel is situated on a beautiful cove and shares its beach with another hotel (maybe 2). The only weak part of the hotel is the food, the breakfast buffet was large and pretty good but the lunch and dinner was nothing to right home about. BUT and this is a huge BUT the lunch at the restaurant next door at La Domaine (cant think of name of restaurant) was the best I have had in a long time. In fact I would rate it the best fish I may have ever eaten. The vibe was cool and great food.....what a luxury to have that next door and on the beach. Our logic behind this hotel is simple, why go crazy on hotel costs when you will hopefully be spending most of your time outside, spend money on yacht rentals, snorkeling, trips to St. Barts etc... all things we do whilst in St. Martin. The crowd is mostly French and American, but has a good Euro vibe to to it.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are pretty similar in size and layout. None are really "on the beach" bu...

A beautiful resort situated in a stunning cove surrounded by 3 small mountains. The hotel is very well run, we were treated by the staff like family. The pool and grounds are incredibly beautiful and well-maintained.

I notice that some reviewers weren't pleased with the service. This resort is on EU soil and caters largely to Europeans. This place doesn't have the resort "buzz," the legions of fawning staffmembers pushing product and opening doors, that some Americans might expect from a resort. For me, that's a blessing. It is a quiet, beautiful place where the staff is very friendly but more relaxed than some people might be used to.

If you need the buzz, the music thumping, the constant attention and relentless service, stay someplace else! If you value beauty, tranquility, and a relaxed setting, you cannot do better than this place.

I have previously reviewed this property, having returned at least once a year since 1992.Its been sublime and at times in the last death throes as a Meridien, totally horrible. When it opened as a Radisson several years ago it looked like it would be fine. The hotel closed for about 7 months in 2011.Whatever changes, upgrades, staff modifications, etc were done was well worth the effort. This is pretty nearly flawless as a (minimum) 4 star plus Caribbean resort The setting on Anse Marcel is beautiful. Really great swimming water. The staff makes you feel at home and will do whatever is possible to accomodate your needs.I have always stayed in a MarinaSuite which has now been thoroughly renovated and comfortable and lovely. There is both a tub and a walkin shower. It has a front and back patio, giving completely different views of this incredibly landscaped property.
Lili, Alain,Julian, Claudette,Sunshine,Alan, Daniel, Junior of course the new director and everyone who I forgot to mention, have put together a splendid resort.
The price is not cheap unless you get lucky and the euro drops some more.It is tho' worth every cent. This is my 11th day of a 13 day stay and its a good amount of time here.
I did notice that the amenities(bathroom stuff) have taken a hit. But who cares if everything else is fine. All in all this is a super great place.

Room Tip: look at the room before you move in. I prefer the Marina because of the spaciousness and the locatio...
