Hotel provides a standard hospitality that we can see in the room, quiet clean and warm. Don't expect too much for the breakfast, it is relatively enough for kinda breakfast to start your adventure in Malang. But foremost, all of the staff are very friendly and will to help and highly be the one of the best thing worth for the price.

A nice hotel in Batu, strategically located with a mini market nearby. Hotel staffs are friendly and they have spacious parking. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, and we got room on the 3rd floor with no window. My son was a little disappointed with the absence of window and its view, but our packed sightseeing schedule means we don’t spend much time in the room so he wasn’t complaining that much. The room is rather large, with comfortable bed and plenty of spaces to put your things on. Bathroom has no bath tub, unless you stay on the suite ones. But they have hot water for shower, which is necessary because Batu is cold. Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV and cable. There are no air conditioner but Batu is cold as it is and our room is on the right temperature.

Breakfast is more to the Indonesian food side with Rawon, fried noodle, fried rice, toast with jelly on the highlight. Although the ambiance was rather quiet but they do accept large groups so breakfast time can be crowded. No worries though, they opened up the whole restaurant, creating plenty of space to sit in. The hotel doesn’t have elevator so you have to go up and down the stairs if you stay above or below lobby floor. Wi-fi is great at the lobby, but it doesn’t reach our room. Neither does cellphone signal. So, if you need constant communication, ask for higher floor, at least lobby level.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad hotel to rest for the night, if you go around visiting attraction all day. But I wouldn’t choose this hotel if it’s going to be a staycation-like holiday.

Room tip: Pick room above the lobby level if you want to have window with view, and cellphone signal in your room.
