Seriously I cannot sing this places praises higher. The staff are incredibly friend and it feels like a close knit community. The room I stayed in was stunning, although the second cabin I booked had no mossie protection so it was very difficult for those in that cabin. As the facilities are outdoors you would expect them to battle to keep them clean but the showers are always spotless. The communal braai area in the evenings was a highlight where everyone could get together and talk about the days diving. The diving: amazing untouched coral reefs - the best I've seen, plus they clean your gear.

And for international visitors it works out at a fraction of the cost you would pay in Australia.

We had a great stay here at the beginning of November- the lodge is set off the main road a 10 minute drive from the beach (almost all the lodges are outside the park boundaries and not on the beach, so though it might sound a pain being 10 minutes drive away it was kind of the norm and really not a problem at all), and has a large, clean and well equipped kitchen, a big communal braii pit which is lit every night and allows for mixing and making friends, and a restaurant if you are too tired after an active day to do anything other than be waited on. the staff were instantly welcoming and warm, knowledgeable about diving in the area, and more than helpful with loaning us gear and sorting out a tailor-made dive package for us. they made us feel very relaxed, and the vibe of the whole place was really lovely- they even have an honesty bar, not something you see much of anymore!
my husband and i stayed 3 nights in one of the en suite rooms, which is actually a charming little self contained chalet nestled away amongst the trees. the room was perfectly adequate- nothing fancy, and the water temperature was a little temperamental, but it was very comfortable, warm and private. and the room rate is considerably cheaper than the other lodges a few minutes further down the road closer to the beach, which leaves more money for diving! yay!
the diving itself was pretty good- beautiful fish and corals, turtles, eels and rays- and though some of the equipment we hired was a little old it all functioned fine. the dive masters were enthusiastic and keen to point things out underwater, and on our last dive we were accompanied by the sounds of whales calling which was just magical.
in summary, though the accommodation may be erring on the basic side this is more than made up for by the fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and good value of the lodge. highly recommended, and we hope to return one day.

In october 2011 my girlfirend and me spend two nights in one of the houses at Triton DIve Lodge. Since I am a diver I've choosen one of the dive packages. The accomodation was large, nice, clean and fully equipped. Nothing to complain about. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want to you can join the barbeque / braii evenings and talk to the other guests and have a good time. Diving was also great. On the second day we saw some whales right next from our dive boat.
