This place is worth a stop! It was a ghost town when we were there Dec 1st. Excellent views of the bridge, Bay and city from the cable car and ferris wheel. The Cable Car is the longest and first cable car with a 2-story cabin in the world. Included in the ticket we bought were 5 extra activities. We only had time for the cable car, ferris wheel, walking around the gardens and the samurai ride. I really wanted to ride the roller coaster and visit the 11d theater but they shut down the park early. We weren't planning on visiting but I am very glad we stopped.

Cable car is great but don't miss out on the Water Puppet Show. They are amazing performers with outstanding singing.

Me and my partner visited here late October and we had a blast!! We took the cable car for 350,000 VND per person, which also includes the ferris wheel and all other attraction on the east side of the park. We also got the Dragon park ticket for 50,000 VND each and had a blast spending about 4 hours riding the roller coasters and such, never waiting more than 15 minutes for a ride! Relatively cheap food for an amusement park (chicken burger for 75k VND and 20k per beer).

When we arrived in Ha Long we didn’t even know there was a Sun World until we looked out the window of the hotel. What a great surprise. As far as theme parks go it is very much the same as others, however the architecture is done extremely well and the lighting at night sublime.
We visited during the off-season so paid so vey little entry fee, less than $5.00, yes LESS than $5 entry, and entry fee that gives you access to all the rides, that are open. All the ‘water’ based rides are closed, regardless we had a ball.
Recommend Sun World - absolutely.
