So, I had to give an average score to the entire complex even though the complex really consists of three unique parks/attractions. We did not do the cable car to the large Ferris wheel. That's the one of the three we didn't do. We did, however, do the water park and the amusement park.
For starters, the complex often has a combo ticket to allow access to multiple areas of the complex at a reduced price - except they don't offer this on weekends even though none of their literature indicates this. As I stood in line waiting to buy my own tickets, I heard person after person ask for a combo only to be told they don't exist. It's annoying but Sun Group could afford to be kinder to the "little people." So, we bought tickets for two parks.
We started in the morning with the amusement park (Dragon Park). It's not huge but it's very well-done. It has two pretty great roller coasters - one suspended and the other standard but very intense!! There are also other thrilling rides like the Rhino Sling and one other that was insane. But, most of the park is much more family-friendly. The atmosphere was calm and friendly. The park was very clean and well cared for. We had a great time.
In the afternoon, we went to the water park. I have to say that as much as I'm a huge fan of water parks, this one annoyed me from the beginning. The tickets were quite expensive. Each of the rides seemed to have a different set of rules. But, customers don't learn those rules until they have climbed the steps to the top of the towers. Some rides randomly didn't allow watches, others necklaces. One one ride, the staff was even worried about the buttons on a customer's bathing suit. We got the sense that the staff was just really irritated and on power trips. In the end, we left early and went to the beach. And this is from someone who LOVES waterparks.
Also, there was almost NO shade so the walkways were scorching hot on bare feet!
While the slides were modern and interesting, the overall experience was not great.
