We loved the Canyon. The nature is absolutely stunning and the occasional game view makes it even more amazing. I would recommend to do a mule trail hike with Gondwana. They own a large part of the canyon in the northern end as part of a private reserve which guarantees that you will not meet any other hikers or visitors. Also, they have set up a few really stunning camps in the park (eg right at the edge of the canyon or at a secluded part of the river). We hiked for 4 days I. A small group and had a fantastic time. The food prepared by the guides was excellent and the facilities (2 water toilets and hot water showers at each camp) very nice. However, even if you go for the more visited Southern part of the Canyon, it is worth the visit.

I had the opportunity to walk the canyon for which I received a certificate for in completion! Spectacular view and such a natural wonder hidden in the middle of a desert.

I was working at the South African border customs at that point in time and discovered the Fish River Canyon one weekend out of boredom and driving around the wild safari roads!

You must see the Canyon! And if you have the energy, then walk the canyon

Not quite what I expected....nothing like the Grand Canyon...but still beautiful in its own right. The various outlook-posts are serviced daily by a person being dropped off there. When we visited, the toilets were out of order and locked. Don't despair if you cannot make the trip out there...you wouln't miss much.

It is very beautiful and quite too. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful when asked to do something for the guest. The overall service was good and i love it. I will be back there someday to see the place again.

In our bucket list was the Grand Canyon of Colorado, was because after visiting Fish River Canyon we fill our desired for the former was erased by the beauty of the later. We have the main view point for our family and the day was perfect only the local birds share the picnic with us,.
Magnificent is the only word.
The only blemish was the reception no map no explanations just paid and go, this can be improved.
We highly recommended the visit and stop at Seheim hotel later on and enjoy the place.
