A friend and I stopped here overnight on our way further south. What a find; the minute we arrived any tiredness from a very long drive just melted away. The building (an old mill) is stunning, the bedrooms and swimming pool are worthy of a very starry hotel and the welcome delightful. This is a very classy establishment with great attention to detail with coffee and tea available in the lobby and very smart bathrooms. The bed, bed linen and towels were great, as was the decor. My room had external shutters which I flung open in the morning to see fields and lovely open space. The property is secure with gates (with a bleeper to open them) and locked external doors, so you could go out and return in the evening feeling safe.
Breakfast was lovely... and French! Fresh rolls, confiture, coffee, cheese and a delicious apple puree.
The owners speak excellent English (the lady owner IS English!) and made us welcome.....there if we needed anything but otherwise we felt completely at home and relaxed. Wish we had booked for longer than one night.More
