“Farmland cottage in easy reach of the coast”
Reviewed June 26, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Ground floor cottage for 8 that lives up to expectations. Quiet rural location on a farm with plenty of cows, friendly dogs and cats plus birds twittering and swooping around the properties (there are 2 other converted barns in the same courtyard). 2 of the bedrooms have en suite showers, so the separate bathroom with shower over is available for the other 4 people. Twin beds in the 3rd bedroom better suited to children, as there is not so much space compared to the other 2 bedrooms. A sofa bed is provided for another 2 people. However, not much time spent in the bedroom as there is lots to do locally. The kitchen / dining area / lounge is one massive space with plenty of light and equipment. Imaginative conversion that has country views on one side and a courtyard (where cars are parked) on the other. Seaton (Devon) and Lyme Regis (Dorset) are under 10 miles away. Plenty of places to visit including gardens and an observatory in Sidmouth. Lots of walking opportunities with short and longer distance paths within easy reach. Driving in the narrow country lanes not for the nervous, but the route into Honiton is the best and the widest. Plenty to keep children amused - tennis court, games room, DVDs and games provided in cottage. Can take your own dog for a small extra charge. Only thing not guaranteed is the weather - but it was great the week we stayed.

“Lovely, lovely accommodation!”
Reviewed November 7, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We booked all three cottages for a stag/hen weekend at the start of November. The cottages are the product of a very high quality barn conversion, with underfloor heating and woodburners, comfortable sofas and large flat screen TVs in the main living areas. The accommodation is spacious, clean and tidy, and slept 15 very comfortably (we made use of both sofa beds). The games barn is a lot of fun with table tennis and table football. There were also some very friendly cats. Basically, it was ideal for the occasion - we were a large group in our 30s, enjoy our own space so appreciated the good number of en-suite bedrooms, and were in the area for the tar barrels at Ottery St Mary. Various members of the party were so impressed by the accommodation and the surrounding countryside that they are already thinking about coming again!

“Brilliant barn conversion”
Reviewed March 30, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This cottage, and the adjoining one, was converted in 2009. to a very high standard indeed.
Immaculate in every way and with quality fittings everywhere it is a super place to stay if you are looking for peace and tranquility as we were.
Views from the south facing patio are spectacular.
The owners are very helpful and sociable.
The nearest shops are 4 miles away and the local roads are narrow and twisty, but that is what staying in the country is all about isn't it?
Before we left we booked for another week in July, we liked it that much.

“Spotless, spacious accommodation.”
Reviewed December 4, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

A lovely place to stay. The accommodation was well equipped, clean and ideal for a larger group as there was plenty of room. There are great views of the rolling Devon countryside from the patio area. The games barn was a bonus and handy being just across the yard from the accommodation. To play on a full size snooker table was great.

It's only a short drive to the coast, if a bit of a hairy drive (due to the narrow roads and the speed of the local drivers!), and Colyton is only 3 miles away.

I would definitely recommend this property for it's location, price and standard of accommodation.
