Horrible to see that this place keeps monkeys locked inside a tiny little cage out the front. The cage is barren with nowhere for them to go and nothing for them to do apart from sit on a single tire swing, the monkeys unsurprisingly look depressed, lifeless and utterly miserable. Like most monkeys kept as pets their mothers were probably shot dead by hunters so that they could then take the babies and sell them into the pet trade. Avoid this place and hopefully the owner will realise this isn't okay!!!

There are caged monkeys outside this homestay which is completely unnecessary and cruel. The cage is small and totally baron apart from one tyre swing in the middle, which the monkeys were too miserable to even use. It is depressing and upsetting to see such intelligent & beautiful animals living their life in this tiny cage. If you care about animal welfare at all, then do not stay here and do not encourage this. Hopefully they will get the message that this is not acceptable & do the right thing and release them.

It's true the caged animals is s bit of a turn of but apart from that the rooms are huge the staff are helpful and the constantly clean the place

It was super close to the beach and shops enjoyed the walk ever day to the beach cool bars plenty of things to do at night

They accommodated three of us in the room which was cool they just put another mattress on the floor when we changed fro. Two rooms to one

Cheap beer onsite and super cold

I'm not interested in any aspect of this homestay other than the front area. Galih homestay parades caged animals at the front door as if oppressed/DEPRESSED monkeys could make it more appealing. Monkeys and chickens are isolated in tiny cages with no room to move properly and are constantly hassled by drunk tourists coming back from the bars. I struggle to see why this would make their homestay unique or appealing. It was upsetting to walk past this hotel every day.
Maybe I'll make my own homestay and dangle the Galih owner in a cage over the Reception desk.
Free the animals Galih!
