This hotel has fantastic views over Mount Etna and is very clean and tidy, modern design and everything you could want in the rooms. But it lacks any charm or atmosphere and for the first time on our trip to Sicily it felt like we were checking in for a weekend conference in Cologne! If all you want is efficiency and cleanliness and yes friendly staff then this is fine. But if you want to feel you are in Sicily not Cologne (apart of course from the mountain!) then you'd be better off elsewhere. We also discovered once we had checked in that there was to be partying until 02.30 a.m. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for an alternative and we left. Nothing wrong with this place - just anodyne!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a mountain view.

We booked the hotel about a month and a half in advance. A couple of days before we went I received an email that there will be a party with MUSIC on the night we were gonna stay there. We had already planned the whole holiday so we could not cancel. We had been up from 3am in order to travel and at night we could not sleep till about 2am or later due to the loud party there was and the DJ shouting etc. On a positive note views are very nice and the staff were really really nice. It is just not a hotel in my opinion cause you cannot combine a hotel with a party hall!

This is a "home away" hotel: pleasant workers, spacious beautiful double restaurant and has always - smiling, descent and an interactive manager.
Good and nutritious varieties of food from fast, hygienic and well trained cooks served by patient waiters and waitresses who are humble and ready to assist in making choices from the menu.
Neat and serine surroundings for relaxation outside.
Big rooms, porch and big car parking space.
Located at a vantage point to offer the opportunity to view beautiful Mountain Etna.
Constant room cleaning, provision of drinks and water in room refrigerators everyday.Television for information and entertainment.
The receptionist can speak different languages aside Italian and this improves good communications.Customer friendliness is a must for the staffs of the hotel.
Laundry is satisfactory.Breakfast is as early as you you expect and of varieties. The manager is very welcoming, friendly and approachable, assisting in finding places of interest to visit.
There is also a vast space for party throwing, graduation get together, birthday celebrations and other social gatherings.

We stayed at this lovely hotel us 3 couples and it was a very pleasant stay. The view is out of this world, having our balconies facing Mt Etna. Rooms are equipped with wifii, a very cosy room and the breakfast consisted of croissants, cakes and cold cuts which were freshly prepared for us. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. A good restaurant if you are visiting Bronte. Not very far from the hotel is a pizzeria called 'Peperoncino' which is a must to go eat there since they use a wood oven and the prices are very cheap.

very helpful and charming receptionists and waiters, Clean rooms and impeccable food with good breakfast. We were also given a good shelter for our motor cycle and it is a very safe place. Nice and peaceful views also from the rooms.

The staff is very helpful and welcoming, and make an effort to communicate with limited English. We booked a day trip to Mt.Elna through the hotel with a local guide that was one of the highlights of our holiday.Thank You Alexandro. Much recomended The location and grounds are beautiful and peaceful with a beautiful view of Mt. Etna. The hotel is clean, the rooms nice and spacy, though a bit dated.

This hotel is sited outside Bronte with an uninterupted view of Mount Etna. The design of the building and garden in which it sits is strikingly modern and I liked both very much. Sadly, the quality of the individual bedrooms is not up to the standard of what you see on arrival in the public areas.

When we arrived, friendly, competent English speaking staff were on duty. Next morning, at breakfast, the service was so poor it was almost amusing. We arrived and found our table laid with each person having a single packet of biscottes in front of them. Finding a waiter and getting him, slowly, ever so slowly, to produce coffee, orange juice yoghurt and cake was, in the end, annoying.

You will see that I have given La Fucino di Vulcana a higher mark than my review might suggest. This is because of the exceptional value for money. We paid just £50 for our bed and in the end adequate breakfast.
