“Peace and quiet on the Wild Atlantic Way”

This is a smashing cottage off the beaten track. Very, very quiet, just the sound of the sheep and the birds singing. Unless you are a serious walker, you will need a car. It's a long walk to the small airport, and then another 4k on to the village of Annagry.

The cottage itself is very cosy. Free turf provided for those long evenings in front of a roaring open fire. Endless piping hot water and a central heating system which kicks in very quickly to shake off any chill.

No wi-fi, I had decent 3G coverage on my phone, or you could bring a dongel to Donegal.

Irish TV and radio channels on Saorview. Very well fitted out kitchen, with everything you could need.

Carrickfinn beach is spectacular, but don't forget to check out Boat Strand as well. Not sign-posted, but worth tracking down.

If you want a week off the grid to get away from it all, this could well be just what you are looking for.

“Wonderful holiday”

This was a fantastic holiday and a great place to stay if you want to explore the local area. We travelled with two small children and stair gates were put up to give us complete peace of mind during our stay. The children had a fantastic time and because each bedroom has ensuite facilities, it meant that everyone had their own space. The owners are very helpful and are 'on call' if there is any problem or if you need advice or help. This is (in my opinion) one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland and the remote aspect of this cottage is part of its charm. The view of Errigal from the window was an unexpected bonus! The nearest shop is about a 8min drive which was perfect and there are a range of great pubs in which to dine (Leo's is the best for us!)This cottage would suit anyone with a family or just a group of friends. We had a great time.

“Experience real Feel of the North of Ireland - Donegal :)”

The cottage is located in a picture perfect scenery, in vicinity of a beach and a beautiful national park (20 mins away by car). Perfect base for trips to Donegal attractions. The cottage is spacious and cosy and every room has an en suite bathroom. The sauna is an authentic Finnish Tylö. Gets warm easily and can fit at least 6 people.

The cottage itself is well equipped and easy, very easy to heat up on a cold days ;)

The owners are very dear and lovable people. They were very helpful and friendly as well as happy to share any information about local attractions. :)

We will certainly come back!!!!!

Very nice house with lovely views, but a bit isolated. Lovely beaches nearby if the weather is fine. However, in our case, the weather was very cold and windy. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and went out of their way to help.

Enjoyed my two day stay. House very clean and could easily sleep six adults although living conditions could be tight
Hosts very friendly and provided a bag of home made scones on arrival.
Perfect location for those who want to get away from everything with beaches all within close walking distance. My family and I would certianly go back

The cottage has excellent facilities and is very well maintained indeed – very clean
The area is beautiful - quiet with great views across to the mountains, the local beaches are very near
If you like walking on the beach and a bit of seclusion, this is the place for you. Perhaps not quite the place for young teenagers wanting lively night clubs)
Cathal and Elma couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable, they will offer excellent advice on the local area and respond quickly to any issues you may have
Everybody is really friendly in the area – it’s just part of the culture
