This is an old style country market with home produced products including delicious baking, sour dough bread, fresh vegetables, home made jams, plants, flowers, chocolates, craft items, hand made greeting cards and a wonderful friendly atmosphere. There is a great tea room attached which sells items produced by the market members, lovely scones and cakes and fresh brewed coffee and tea. It's only open from 11.00am to 12.30pm on a Saturday so be there early to get what you want, everything sells quite quickly. It's held in the Town Hall at the bottom end of the town and usually plenty of parking. Fantastic!!

While touring the beautiful historic Georgian town of Ramelton, I discovered the Country Market and went in. It was small but had delicious fruit, chocolate, pastries, home-cooked items, paintings, and hand-made items of all kinds. I bought some fruit, pastry, and chocolate truffles - yum! It was an authentic old-school Irish experience.

The Ramelton Country market takes place each Saturday morning between 11am and 12.30. There is always a range of home baking on offer, which I can highly recommend. Home grown plants, locally made craft products such as soap etc. There is a café at the market which offers a range of delicious home baked snacks. An ideal place to meet friends whilst being able to do some shopping.

Old world Ireland meets modern life. Well worth the visit it is a mix of that old Irish tradition and fantastic modern delights the baking is exceptional. I can say no more you need to experience it for yourself and make your own minds.
