From the first minute my wife and i got there, Gary & Una (the owners) introduced themselves and showed us around the small cabin, the first thing we noticed was that that cabin was spotless, and they had bread, milk, tea, coffee and sugar, nice kitchen facilities, the stunning lake view from the front door is amazing, the hot tub was amazing even until 1am! cleaned every day. Great fishing if thats what you are into, the owner Gary is nearly always around if anything is needed. All in all a perfect few days, and thanks to our stay i am now addicted to fly fishing. I could not recommend this more, even for people who dont fish, the walk around the lake is stunning, if you are thinking about staying, DO IT!, you will never regret it, and you will go back, Amazing, thank you Gary & Una.

Every part, from booking to goodbye, was made enjoyable. The prices are excellent, as is the location, condition and atmosphere of Ballyare lodge. Many small extras not mentioned in the description show the attention to detail in ensuring a most relaxing time. Many thanks and will see you again soon. Highly recommended!

Just back from staying two nights in balyare lodge and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone. Gary and Una are two of the nicest people I ever met and made us all feelso welcome. The cabin is 5* and the views is just beautiful not to mention the hot tub!! Rebooked again for my birthday in June and can't wait!!

Just back from staying at Ballyare Lodge for 4 nights. We had an absolute brilliant time from the moment we arrived there the log cabin was amazing and not forgetting the hot tub which the kids really enjoyed and ourselves also. The kids really enjoyed the fishing and caught plenty of trout and they also tasted lovely. The kids are asking when they are going back and one thing for sure is we definitely going back there. Never had such a relaxing time anywhere than I did here. A special thanks to Gary and Una which nothing was a bother to them and really made are break away special.

Just back from this place today!! Omg!! What an amazing 2 days.. Could not fault it at all!! The cabin was amazing.. Comfortable, clean, warm. The hot tub was a bonus!! The lake is beautiful, sitting in the hot tub looking out at it was amazing.. Gary helped us catch some fish to cook on the bbq!! Was delish!! Gary and Una are amazing hosts! So friendly!! I really can't recommend this place enough.. If your looking for a quiet relaxing time this is the place to go!!!

We spent the weekend in this absolutely fantastic log cabin. The owners Una and Gary are two of the nicest people you will meet. Very helpful and accommodating. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and lovely and warm which was nice on a cold February evening. There was tea, coffee, fresh milk and fresh bread waiting for us on arrival. The views are fantastic over the lake with the rolling hills behind. The hot tub is amazing we spent a few hours each night in it even in February. Gary took time out of his day to show us how to fly fish an even let us borrow a rod. we caught two trout and had one for tea that evening, it was delicious. The town of Ramelton is only two minutes away by car if you need anything and Letterkenny is about ten minutes away. If you are looking for a perfect getaway in Donegal don't look anywhere else. Fishermen will also love the stocked lake.

100% will be back as soon as possible
