Nanette and Steve were perfect hosts at their lovely home. We loved the beautifully decorated garden suite. Breakfast included wonderful choices including homemade breads and jams, a variety of fruits, and omelets. We loved their well behaved dogs, Paddy and Flynn. The area is perfect for taking walks to enjoy the scenery. We will definitely stay here again when we get back to New Zealand.

Steve and Nanette offer a warm welcome together with spacious, comfortable and very tastefully furnished accommodation in their beautiful secluded house and gardens. The quality of the breakfasts all laid out on their garden terrace, were excellent. We felt we were really able to relax and unwind in this peaceful house and garden. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your lovely feedback - it was a real pleasure to have you to stay and see you relax and enjoy the house and gardens. We have been having a beautiful hot summer and breakfast outside in the mornings is always a delight. Would love to see you again if you are back in NZ.

A wonderful place to stay. Hosts really pleasant and very kind.
Great accommodation, extremely clean.
Lovely rural setting with large lemon trees full of lemons and other wonderful plants.
Privacy is respected and there is plenty of space to enjoy the evening garden just outside the cottage.
Woodside is located between Picton and Blenheim and both are in easy reach. We enjoyed Whites Beach nearby and swam everyday there.

We stayed in the separate self contained barn for two nights. Steve and the dogs gave us a lovely welcome. The barn was spacious and rustic, and had a nice outdoor area which we were able to enjoy in the nice weather. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, including lovely fresh baked bread. Only downside was the number of bugs inside - a pitfall of being in the countryside in summer - but there was bug spray in the cupboard. We would definitely come back here!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately with lights on and doors and windows open some insects will come inside. Especially when the neighbours have just cut their hay. There is a 100% natural pyrethrin auto dispenser in the lounge to help. Thankfully we don't have mosquitoes. If you do come back to Marlborough we would love to see you both again. Nanette and Steve.

We arrived early for our 1 night stay, without any plans or reservations, on a Saturday during peak season. Steve immediatly helped us book an amazing private wine tour, and the room was ready for us in no time. The house is located between roses, vineyards and has a super nice view towards the mountains. A quiet hideaway. We slept like babies, and in the morning we were served an amazing vegan breakfast with müsli, fresh fruitsalad, toast, hashbrowns, fried tomatoes and mushroom, baked beans, coffee, tea, orange juice, all nice and vegan. And yes, they do cater to non-vegans, but as their daugther is vegan, they really know what they are doing. To us, this was just perfect, spot on! Highly recommended, for sure.
