We were on a Japan round island cruise and had a three night pre-cruise stay at this hotel. This hotel is only 1Km to the Osanbashi Cruise Terminal and its location is convenient for people catching a cruise from Yokohama. A taxi ride will take less than 10 minutes and cost about $8. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from hotel to the terminal.
The room is rather spacious for a Japanese hotel and and very clean with comfortable bed.Staff are very helpful and extremely polite and also able to communicate well in English.
The subway station is just a 10 minute walk away and 5 stations to the Yokohama Station where Takashiyama department store is and u can also find a large underground shopping in this area. You can also take an express train from the same station to Tokyo Central in half an hour.
This hotel is next to Chinatown as well and itself is a very interesting place to explore with plenty of restaurants and shopping.I never have breakfast at the hotel and cross over there to have breakfast which is cheap and have much more variety to choose from.Do take note the shops open after 10 am and last till 11 pm.
The harbour front which is half an hour walk away has many attractions and can easily occupy you the entire day. One of the interesting place to visit is the Red Brick Warehouse. The Cruise Terminal is one of the most beautiful terminals i ever visited. If you visit in the evening the view of the city skyline with all the lights on is even more enchanting.
The staff does provide an excellent service and with its good location, Rose Hotel certainly make a great stay.

Stayed here 4 nights for a work conference. Staff were helpful, friendly amd spoke some English. Location was really close to the water, on the edge of Chinatown so always close to some yummy food (Chinese and Japanese) and near to the local metro too. The buffet breakfast is worth the extra cost and they have a selection of western & asian food. The beds are comfy and I got a good night sleep every night.

This hotel is situated right in the heart of Chinatown. We checked in a spacious and non smoking room on the 8th floor. The room was filled with stale cigarette smoke and we tried to air it out to no avail. We complained to the hotel staff the next day, they moved us to a deluxe room on the 9th floor. Thank you Roseta for your immediate response to our concerns.
There are two restaurants in the hotel, a Chinese restaurant and a Western restaurant. The breakfast buffet menu in the Western restaurant offered a great selections of both Western and Asian breakfast items.

Everyone at the Rose Hotel bent over backwards to assist us. From the bellmen who took our luggage and refused a gratuity to the waitress who got us butter from the kitchen to take to our room , staff were wonderful . The room was spotless and large by Japanese standards.
The best thing about the Rose Hotel is it's location . A short walk to "Eggs and More " for breakfast to crossing the street and being in the heart of Chinatown. If you're cruising out of Yokohama , the port is a $6 taxi ride away. No better place to stay !

We have stayed at the rose hotel many times, it is close to both Chinatown and the sea front in Yokohama. About 15 mins taxi to the cruise terminal. The rooms are large for Japan standards. Very clean and the staff very helpful. From here you can walk 5mins to the underground train to the centre of Tokyo. It takes about 45mins. There is a tourist bus which stops outside the hotel for a trip around Yokohama. Over the road is a family Mart supermarket selling beer, wine, and snacks. Cheaper
than the mini bar. The bedroom had tea and coffee, a good selection of bathroom amenities, air con and TV. The English was OK but ask for Roseta who is the English support staff, she makes you feel most welcome. Free WiFi in all the rooms. Ask for a front facing room it is a better view. There was no noise. I would stay again.
