The best 14€ lunch menu in the area! You dine in a wonderful flower filled terrace, the service is excellent, the food is interesting, superbly presented and excellent value.

We stayed here for three nights in June and had the most fantastic time. We arrived at lunchtime and had lunch and three nights dinner although the last night was a Musical Soiree which was excellent - so a set meal that night. We would definitely go back and probably go for longer. We had Rooms 5 and 6 (a suite) which had air conditioning - it was very hot - 36 degrees on arrival but would try a different room next time as the beams are incredible low and we are tall. There is a pool which is covered but was too hot during the day when we were there sadly. The food and wines were excellent and the staff so friendly and helpful.

We stopped for lunch here on our bicycles. We should have booked, but were lucky enough to get the last table. The lunch menu was very good value, and we had a delicious chunk of rumpsteak which was beautifully cooked and well presented. The terrace was shady on a sunny day, and the service and atmosphere friendly. Despite being a fairly up-market restaurant nobody batted an eyelid at our cycling garb, and we felt very welcome.

Four of us lunched here on Sunday. Initially we were disappointed that it was too cold to sit outside on the terrace but the indoor dining room is delightful; in particular if you can get a table in the light and airy conservatory extension.
We were the only non French party in the half full dining room.
Three of us chose the €29.50 menu, I elected to choose the turbot from the a la carte menu.

My husband loved his starter of Baluchon d’endives, endives stuffed with Roquefort sauce on thin slices of smoked duck breast and also thought very highly of his roast cod fillet on a foie gras veloute. My turbot was unusually served on the bone and although good, not in the same class as the roast cod.
We drank a very acceptable local wine served by the carafe.
With aperitifs and coffee our meal came to an acceptable €180, good for what we thought was a traditional French cuisine style meal in delightful settings.

We went to this restaurant one lunchtime, by chance, and now try and go for lunch on a regular basis. It offers amazing food, fresh, local ingredients and lots of imagination. We love it!
